Halloween Fantasy On The High Seas - Eastern October 24th 2015

Coming out of the closet - Jay and I have been booked on this sailing since May and we're in concierge for my birthday this time! :cool1:

Anyhoo ... this will be cruise number 9 for us and our third time on the Fantasy. Consider yourselves warned ... there are some in the community who consider us hurricane jinxes. :lmao:

For those who don't know us I'm Brenda (oybolshoi) and will be celebrating my birthday one week late with this cruise; my husband is Jason (guy incognito). You can usually find us in the spa, satellite falls, or a bar ... not necessarily in that order. ;)

Happy planning!
Alright! We're finally going to meet you!

Hi everyone! My family is debating on taking this cruise. We currently have a Royal Caribbean cruise booked for this time but I know my kids would prefer Disney:) We are going this December on the Fantasy (I just love the Christmas decorations), but really want to see the Halloween decorations! I just have to convince other family members to make the switch!! :goodvibes

Hi Robin:wave2:
C'mon along!
Funny thing..... I'm from Liverpool NY too!
Actually selling my house there and moving to Baldwinsville.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone from my area on the boards before. Cool!:thumbsup2

How funny! Small world. The closest I've seen on the boards is Buffalo. We are in Bayberry. I grew up here and never left! Lol. I really want to do Halloween. I have heard there are many fun activities and a costume party. I have to convince my cousin to switch. I'm still working on them. Haha

So this will be our third Eastern itinerary with DCL ... we love love love St. Martin but in the past have always booked an excursion. This time we're thinking to hire a cab and get over to the French side of the island for some eats and drinks ...

Those of you with experience doing the cab thing ... how much does it usually cost and is it round trip or just one way?

Thanks for any thoughts, suggestions, dire warnings, etc ... :lmao:

Well, I can see that this thread is a real hotbed of activity. ;) :rotfl2:

Are you guys are hiding on facecrack?

: waves : I'm here ... haven't had a chance to look at any of the Halloween trip reports or Navigators yet -- has anyone else? What cool stuff can we expect/hope for next year?

I'm here every day checking in but I didn't respond to you Brenda as you've
an expert cruiser compared to me so I was commentless.

On an unrelated note...... Universal Studios was having an awesome sale with room and park to park tickets and Blue Man tickets in one bundle and of the available dates was I week I was already on vacation! So I'll be there for my 50th birthday! :cool1:

Yeah, it's not Disney:( but, I'm not paying, SO Bob is paying my way for my birthday gift and I've convinced my son to come along (so just him and I) :thumbsup2

Free is good and I've never been to the Harry Potter section:woohoo:

Just a quick trip as I still promised my son Sean that I'd help him cook his first Thanksgiving dinner at his apartment so 3 days down in FL then flying back to the Boston area for the rest of the week.

Excited!!!!!:hyper:

Gosh, no not yet! Boy normally I'd be all over this by now, but with the holidays coming up and my newer (since the last time I cruised) job, causing no down time during the day, and now another trip coming up, I guess I'll have to be all over it after the holidays:thumbsup2

I usually check in here regularly but I've been away for a week on a little Florida trip. My Mom spends the winters in Clearwater but can't make the drive from Ohio anymore, so my brother and I drove her car down and got her place opened up and ready for her. We got a chance to see a few beaches and hit a few sites then flew home.
It was nice to get my Palm tree fix that will have to hold me off till the end of January.:)

Sounds like a fun trip Rose! Geez we haven't been to Universal since 1998. Bet it's changed a bit eh?;)
I'm sure I'm in the minority but I've never seen any of the Harry Potter movies or read any of the books.

Maybe you guys can help me with some info..this is our first DCL cruise and our agent booked us in Main dining. What would be the actual time we would be eating dinner? I'm thinking it may just he way too early for me but my inlaws would probably like that better.

On our cruise in mid Sept they had great decorations and noticed lots of kids activities for Halloween.(trick or treating etc)

We haven't had early dining for a while but I'd wager you'll be ordering and eating somewhere close to the 6- 6:30 time frame. They usually try to keep things moving in order to clear people out in time for late diners.
