Halloween day plans?

I am planning our trip for this oct. Right now our non park day is either going to be 10/30 or Halloween. Is there anything fun
/special to do on Halloween day not in the parks? My girls will be 4 & 8. Thanks!

All the resorts will have some sort of Halloween party, usually with characters, activities, candy. Some people really enjoy going to Ft. Wilderness to trick or treat with the campers. Disney Quest also has a Halloween event, but you must buy a ticket and your DDs are probably a bit too young to enjoy that one.

I don't have personal experience with it, but I've heard the resorts are fun on Halloween night.

We thought about doing the MSSSHP on a night OTHER than the 31st so we could do Halloween at the resort (essenially having two Halloween fun nights...the 31st and a resort and MNSSHP on another night) but the other family we are going with want to do the 31st at MNSSHP

The resorts do have halloween activities throughout the day, we were at POFQ last October and here is a picture of the activities for that day. Also; Halloween night is the first night that sells out, so make sure you buys your tickets early.
