Day Two: Monday, October 12, 2015 (Ensenada Day)
Before I get started, I just need to vent that I had to delete about 10-15 pictures!!! I forgot about the 35 picture max per post! Aaaarrrggghhh!!!

On our 1st Disney Wonder sailing, we were further aft in an inside stateroom. I remember waking up whenever we entered port, feeling the loud vibrations, the hangers swaying and rocking throughout the night, etc. This time we were in an outside stateroom portside about 10 staterooms further forward, actually about a cabin away from the aft elevators. I woke up this morning to a gentle whirring from the engines. Did I ever mention that I absolutely LOVE the map channel on the TV?!?! I would turn on the TV upon waking up and upon returning to the room. Then I’d leave it on all night long as a nightlight from the TV’s glow but also because I really love that channel.

We were entering port and I saw a breakwater not that far away. We passed a buoy and realized there was a sea lion on it! So cute!
Off topic: so before the cruise, DH and I had been on a special diet where you supplement breakfast and lunch with these meal shakes. Over 6 weeks I lost 13 pounds and DH lost 14 pounds over 5 weeks. He was very realistic and told me not to pack any shakes for the cruise for him. I measured portions for myself for my daily breakfast. This morning I had my shake. Tomorrow I would have my last shake for our vacation!!! Why bother?!?!
I got dressed and washed up. I went to decks 9 &10 around 6:45 and took some pictures.
There were some people on deck, but not many were present. I took some photos of Goofy’s Galley.
I went to Beach Blanket Buffet (BBB) and wanted to bring food and drinks back to the family. I quickly realized this would take two trips. I got the food, went back to the cabin, went up for drinks and back to the cabin. That was HARD and I told myself I would NOT do that again!
When looking out our cabin window, the gangway on deck 1 is just below us and to the left of us. It was interesting seeing the crew.
This tanker truck pulled up and I told DS, “Look, it’s a gas truck!” The rest of the family rushed over. DH said, “That’s not a gas truck!” What do you mean? Oooooohhhh…that must be a “human waste” truck. “Yuck!” the kids exclaimed until I explained how important it was to get rid of it. Later in the afternoon, the truck would still be there. That process must take quite a while!
DD had to choose between her Anna Coronation gown and her Elsa gown. She decided on the coronation gown. After everyone got ready, we headed to Animator’s Palate for the Frozen Meet and Greet scheduled for 8:30. I stopped buying more Frozen clothes for the kids quite a while ago. Instead, I had DS wear a shirt that exemplified how our family felt… “I need a vacation”. LOL!!!

Despite having our tickets, we still waited in line about 10-15 minutes before it was our turn.
We had time before our 9:30 Princess Meet and Greet in the Atrium Lobby so we took pictures of the evolving Pumpkin Tree.
We loved these artificial Mickey and Minnie Jack-o-Lanterns at the counters of the Port Adventures Desk.
We still had time so I took the kids to the hallways before the shops. I love these windows!
We still had MORE time so we ventured out on deck 4 to look at the port. We saw a group of sea lions.
We headed to the line for our 9:30 appointment. When we approached the CM, he looked at my ticket and said, “Oh, your appointment is for 9:00, but you can still come in.” What?!?!? I thought my appointment was for 9:30! But, there it was as plain as can be…the ticket said 9:00!!! Oh, well.

We got Belle, Ariel (my FAVORITE princess), Rapunzel, and Cinderella.
We went back to the cabin and all of us changed into our swimsuits and got sunblock on. We delivered some FE gifts. Then we grabbed all 4 KTTW cards and our driver’s licenses. We headed down one deck to deck one and exited the ship. By now, it was VERY bright, hot, and humid! Ugh!!!

We took some photos of the ship.
We didn’t want to go into town so we just went into the small port shopping building. It’s pretty small and has several various vendors that sell jewelry, alcohol, costume jewelry, silver jewelry, dolls, toys, tableware, purses, etc. There was a small convenience store as well. I got an Ensenada magnet to add to our refrigerator collection. DD didn’t find any toys she liked but decided on a flower pendant necklace. DS found a wooden handpainted toy train. I was able to bargain a little.
We were back on the ship within 45 minutes. Poor DD had been begging to go into the pools so now was her time!

Believe it or not…DD was the only one in the family that stepped into the pools!

That’s so unbelievable for our family because we love the pools. DH, DS, and I just wanted to relax and not get wet. I had heard from DISboards about the pretzels so I got a plain salted pretzel from Pinocchio’s Pizzeria. DS was begging for ice cream so I got a vanilla/chocolate swirl for myself and a blueberry/mango swirl for DS. The latter was soooooo yummy. By the time we wanted to get another one later in the cruise, it was sold out. DD was jealous that she never got to try it. It was so hot that our swirls were melting. I was able to teach him to lick, rotate, lick, rotate. Didn’t matter. Used a towel as his napkin. It was melting and dropping on his lap. Again, that towel was put to good use.
DD was all over the place in only one hour…Goofy’ Pool, Mickey’s Pool, Mickey’s Slide, and Goofy’s Pool. Ha, ha, ha!

We had to drag her out of the pool (she is secretly a mermaid at heart!) at 1pm. We had to get ready for the 2pm Nightmare Before Christmas (NBC) Sing and Scream show at the Walt Disney Theater. We had heard that we shouldn’t miss this show, especially because the end has a special surprise. Besides, we couldn’t miss this show, especially since this is from DH’s favorite movie. We were early, got great seats, and I got a popcorn for everyone to share. The show was great! We stood in a LONG line for about 45 minutes for these pictures!
While waiting in this long line, Treasure Ketch was calling to me so I left DH with the kids in line. I got DD a pair of swim goggles (I inadvertently left them in our packed bag for
Disneyland in my trunk). By the way, she never wore them because she didn’t like the fit! I also bought a pair of Crislu
DCL logo earrings.
I dismissed DH so he could go to Jackpot Bingo. When we were taking our pictures with Jack and Sally, DD mentioned that DH loves NBC, but that he was at jackpot bingo. Jack quickly replied that DH went to “Jackpot”…get it? Jackpot? Nevermind…you had to be there!
We went back to our stateroom to get ready for our Dress Up Night at Animator’s Palate. We managed to get some family photos:
DS was sooooooo tired that he fell asleep before the appetizers!
Minnie looked so beautiful in her white dress, but we were too late (another example of dinner running long w/our servers). The line for Mickey was long but worth it.
Unfortunately, DH took DS back to the cabin to sleep. I took DD to the Walt Disney Theater to see the Golden Mickey’s (our 1st time watching it) and knew it was a must see. It was already pretty crowded but we got aisle seats. I loved watching DD enjoy a musical. Very dear to my heart. DH and I used to watch a lot of musicals before the children so it was sweet to see that she also enjoys them. She was so excited and really paid attention. I never knew she could cheer so loudly! We went to Mickey’s Mates for a little bit.
When we arrived, this was waiting on the bed. Sitting on our bed was our nightly towel animal with a note saying to turn our clocks FORWARD one hour. We got our next navigator and the trick or treat bags for tomorrow...Halloween Day!!!
DS was awake and audibly jealous that we didn’t him to the show. “But, you were asleep.” “I’m jealous.” Apparently, DH showed DS on the show channel the Golden Mickey. I called room service since he didn’t eat dinner. This is one of my favorite cruise pictures of DS: sitting on our bed like a king eating watermelon!!!
While DH walked around the ships, I got the kids ready for bed.
Coming up: Day Three…Halloween Day!
