Just finished cleaning the house. I hate coming home to a messy house. Got the suitcases packed, and the cats are boarded. Just heard we are gonna have bad storms until about 1pm. I hope they get the decks dry in time for the sail away party!!!

We finally got to the Radisson...parking was impossible... dog grooming convention here...dogs everywhere Bed is uncomfortable "sleepnumber" as seen on t.v. I think my camping mattress is much better.
Met Teri and Rick at pool... Didn't see anyone else. Teri, thanks for use of microwave
We are re-packing and getting everything set for loading and carry on's.
We have mere hours... HOURS I say! Can't wait to meet all!

Here's a funny note from my local paper... Someone wrote in with a question about last weeks earthquakes... wanted to know where the richter scales were installed in town! The human species never ceases to amaze me!!!

We made it, got our room at the Marriott at noontime (they are SO nice!), ate at Zachary's (GREAT Greek food!!), hung out at the pool, watched Steven do his tons of homework.

We saw the sign at the Raddisson about the dog groomers- we're dog lovers so I bet it's kinda cool having all those dogs around.

Now it's almost 5a on Saturday, I'm awake, can't sleep, too excited and my schedule is still thrown off from getting up so early yesterday. It's all good, though, can't wait to board!

It's almost 7:30 am, James and I have officially been up since 5:30. I have been in and out of sleep since 12:45 am. All bags are packed and tagged, ready to board. We are having a lovely b-fast of leftover travel food, like cookies, apple, peach, bananas. I hope we don't make ourselves sick before boarding
We are sitting here watching t.v., live action from the space station, counting the minutes
Come on wndrmite and the rest of you stragglers we're waiting for ya!

I know you are all having a wonderful time on The Magic but us poor soles that had to stay home and work are sure missing the discussions that have been going on.

I must ask how the sharing of the YELLOW SPEEDO is going?? I can only imagine the looks from the other uninformed passengers.

... I figure I must be the only one to have already come back! Arrr.... OK, maybe I am the only one to have missed the boat! Arrrr!

OK... let me put it this way - may I be the first to welcome everyone back! Yeah... I am about 2 days early still but what the heck!

Ok, who's next in line? We're bringing the boat back tomorrow, all cleaned and polished.
We will be updating our photos in the next few days if anyone is interested.
I hope everyone had as great a time as we did. Only one minor glitch... we caught a slight cold from a little hacking ebola monkey on a tour bus. Nothing a little nyquil couldn't handle.
It was great meeting all on the boat, Hope to see you on the next cruise! And to AWOL, ifthey ever line up that Alaskan cruise, we'll be right behind you in line :

Last night was a riot. Around 11ish, we hit rough seas with gale force winds. A few brave souls went up on deck, taking photo's of the pools emptying themselves out with 13 foot waves. Some of us went to the bow, in front of the wind screen just to see if we could stand. I actually had to hold my shirt down cause I thought it was going to blow off. We were laughing so hard, but couldn't even hear ourselves due to the loud wind.
Just walking was an effort. The ship would go up and you could feel the force of gravity in your knees. The boat would then go down and it would feel as if your feet had left the deck. You would walk slowly to the right, trying to walk a straight line, keeping your balance. Then all of a sudden you're running left, smacking into a wall or rail. It was the best Disney ride ever. But had it happended on the first day of the cruise, alot of people would have been sick.
I hope the next group out has a smooth sailing.
We didn't get to bed til after 1 am and it felt like you were trying to sleep on one of the cars on the dinosaur ride or a simulator ride. Needless to say, we didn't fall asleep til after 2. I was up and out of bed at 4:30 when I realized the ship stopped rocking. I'm sure others will tell of their experiences. I hope theirs was as fun as ours.

You're talking about the toddler who was coughing up a lung on the St. Marteen tour? (I sat across from you!!!)

I caught whatever she had because I now sound like her......I couldn't taste anything the last 3 nights because my nose is so stuffed and my head so congested. My poor waiter stayed 3 feet from me the rest of the cruise. He said he didn't want what I had!
( little bronchitis, I think...)

I couldn't believe those waves!!! I wanted to go up on deck, but I had two little ones sleeping and I didn't want to leave them. I never felt anything like it before. I am still actually feeling the rocking as I sit here in my kitchen typing. I probably got 3 hours of sleep, maybe???

Did your parasailing get cancelled???


It was great meeting everyone, and the trick or treat turned out fantastic. The kids are still talking about it.

I hope our chatting doesn't end only because we got off the ship!

I booked another Eastern for April 28th 2008. I really like the 3 sea days and that we don't have to Tender. I also re-booked our Med cruise and saved $800 plus $250 on board credit for each room!
