halloween cruise/ Magic: October 28th-nov..4th 2006

We are leaving around 2:30 on Delta. We live in Powell. Looks like you've cruised Disney a lot!! This is our 3rd Disney, 1st time to Eastern with our kids. We went years ago on another line, so I'm sooo excited!! Ready for sun sun, and more sun!! I feel like it's Christmas!!

This will be the third time trying to go Eastern on DCL..........seems like hurricanes are going to steer clear this year!

Last day of work today. I wore jeans too........it was my Friday.

I still have class tonight and tomorrow night then it's smooth sailing.

This is kinda bittersweet for us too. I am virtually certain it will be our last DCL trip......time to move on to new and exciting adventures.

We leave tomorrow night from Sacramento, CA red-eye flight.

Still working tomorrow but leaving at 1:30, kids last day of school, they are off track for 4 weeks so they won't miss any school days.

My son DS12, passed his 3rd stripe brown belt in karate.

Can't wait to meet everyone in Radisson and of course in DIS meet in Promenade.

I am trying to figure out how you got them to try on dress clothes and shoes, etc without them wondering why? It takes us forever to make sure everyone has the right dinner clothes that fit!

We can make 4000. I was in a sales meeting all day today in Orlando of all places. Nothing like driving right by Disney when there is not a cloud in the sky and it was 70 degree's.

Only 1 more long day of work...then maybe I can start packing.

We are leaving in the morning!!!! I am packed, and ready to go.

I will see some of you Friday poolside at the Raddison around 6:00, and onboard Saturday in the Promenade Lounge at 3:00.

Well, the kids think we are driving to Washington DC. We've been talking up our vacation to the kids telling them about all of the historic sights we will visit. My ds asked one day in a very disinterested voice "So, is this going to be a learning vacation?" And I said "Yup, pretty much." And he of course rolled his eyes.

As far as the formal wear goes....we did tell them we were going to a really fancy dinner in Washington DC that they would need to dress up for.

I've told sooooomany fibs to them. They may never believe me again!

We will tell them the truth on Friday morning. My parents are coming over to take us to the airport, and they wanted to be there when the kids found out. We will also be videotaping the whole thing. Can't wait!!

OK, I'm packed. Or is it I tossed cloths in a suitcase and will hope for the best? I've got my boarding pass printed off and have all the cruise docs in my carry-on. I'm going to chill for a bit and head off to bed. I'm see a glass of wine in my very near future.

Hello all!

We arrived in Orlando today. The flight was pretty uneventful and long since we have a 4 hour flight and a 3 hour time difference..... We finally got to AKL & got checked in, dropped our stuff off in our room & went to find LaRue & GDAC. The kids spent awhile swimming & reconnecting before we all ran off for a quick bite for dinner & then more anomal watching. As soon as we walked in our room, we looked out & saw a giraffe just outside the balcony. Can't wait to see more tomorrow when there's light We tried the night vision goggles, but there weren't any animals out. It was pretty cool looking through them anyway.

Tomorrow we check out of here & go to Animal Kingdom for the day & then to the beach house in Melbourne Beach for 2 nights. See you all at the port on Sat.

Maybe we'll check in again to try & help get the count up to 4000

Safe travels to those that are still home. You poor souls.

We also watched the Atlas 2 launch from 60ish miles away. Not much different than watching airplanes fly to the airport from that far away! We weren't even sure it wasn't an airplane at that distance. Oh well, someday I'll get a closeup look at a launch!

We're also going on a quest for the elusive red solo cup tomorrow!
