I am so looking forward to this cruise, but I don't like the hot weather. I left South Fla. to escape the hot weather. Right now in W/S it is 48 degrees and I still have my windows open! This is usually my camping season. I LOVE the cold! I am a polar bear! :teeth:

It is 41 here with about a 25 mph wind right now... it SOUNDS cold outside! I am ready to come to the warmer weather!

How about 71 at 10pm?? It will be 88-90 over the next couple of days.

We are finally packed!!! :cheer2: Now we wait for Wed morning.

No shirts/bracelets here yet though. We only have 2 mail days left.... Hope they make it on time.

I am laughing because I am the same way but the roles are reversed with my wife and I. This WDW trip should be interesting because I now have a Blackberry and get notice of emails etc. I am famous for just checking "one more time"!

Apparently today is going to be 91 and then the temp will drop down into the 80s and be much more reasonable.

As far as luggage... Thank goodness we had a driver for the trip to the airport. 14 checked bags of various sizes and about 4 carry ons. With six people, the mini van we rented at Orlando was truly stacked and packed! It did not matter anyway. The kids were so pumped up that nobody wanted to go to sleep until about 1 and Kim and I did not settle down until about 2:30 AM :hyper:

Chris

Windy and a cold 42 here this morn. I am ready for a little warmth, just hoping it is not too humid!

Off to yet another baseball game. It starts at 9:00. Yet another cold one! I am taking blankets today!

Choc marg, Most of the other packages we on the east coast or mid west. I think yours was the only one on the west coast. Hopefully it will make it there tomorrow!

Have a great day everyone!

Yeah - we have had a string of some cold weather here this month. When did you move to Florida? Did you live here in 91 when we had the 30 inches of snow on halloween?

We moved in 1989. MY brother in law was telling me in the past few years, they have been cancelling a lot of the ice fishing contests because the ice wasn't thick enough due to too warm weather.

I feel your pain!!! But we can't escape since we are only a 30 minute drive t the ship!!! (which isn't a bad thing....) :teeth:

By the way; got the bracelets!!!! Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How did you do on the links today? I actually just moved my clubs to the basement this afternoon, as it hit me today, that I will most likely not be golfing again until spring.

Before kids, I golfed every week. I gave it up for 14 years and have just started back playing and have the score to show for it. :lmao:

At least living in Tampa allows me to continue to hack (play) through the winter. I have been getting out about 2-3 times per month.

Dave

Hi all! O.k. so right now it's 37 degrees and I'm freezing. I'm envious of Miss Kristin and her early departure.

Goofy...Can you believe NO DOCS?? It's slightly annoying but nothing to stress about until at least Tuesday. Did I tell you that my dad is a varsity baseball coach (last 20 years) and the golf coach. Can you imagine what being the golf coach is like for an addict (to golf)? He plays on all the best courses in MA for free. He is so crazed that when it snows here he'll drive 40 minutes down the cape (cod) to golf. I don't think he ever packs his clubs away. He also would not have given up the opportunity that Chris did. My dad can be selfish when it comes to that game. His real job is head of the H.S. English department.

Love the old fighting about having to wear a jacket on Halloween to ruin the whole look we've put together for months. Not this year

Once again I need to thank all of you that made Jake a part of your prayers. It means more to me than I could possibly express. As a Catholic Northeast girl with way too many opinions and ideas thrown my way; I can at times become a skeptic. When push comes to shove however I do believe that prayers are heard and can make a world of difference. Thank you all again for reminding me. I am humbled. We are going to visit Jake today. They've had a very difficult time regulating his sugar but the outlook is positive :goodvibes . Thanks again

I only starting playing about 5 years ago, so I can relate to "hacking" my way through a round. I actually played last year in St. Thomas, and it wasn't pretty. I had to rent clubs, and I think I had lost my 18th ball by the 15th hole. :lmao: But I had fun doing it, and that is the main thing.

I am glad to hear the outlook is positive for Jake. :thumbsup2 That is great news.

James is pretty good at golf.... on a computer. I'm not sure he's even touched a real club in his life :lmao: Oh, my bad... I forgot about putt-putt :rotfl2:

It's like 45 degrees, gray and rainy. I love it. Windows are still open, we're wearing sweatshirts and thick socks but refuse to turn on the heat. :goodvibes

Three days till we hit the road :moped:

:lmao: I got pretty good at the Tiger Woods golf game, as I had to purchase it for my DD7 last year. She didn't ask for it, but being the observant parent that I am, I could tell that I, oops I mean I could tell she really wanted it. :cheer2:

:stir:
OK.......I'll let you in on a secret............XLT had 18 balls in his bag for yesterday's game.........but went out and bought more, 'cause he was afraid he would run out! :lmao:

I know how he felt. I am thinking about upgrading my golf bag so I can store more balls in it. I also keep extra golf balls in my car, just incase I have a bad first nine, I can stop at the turn and get them out of my car. :rotfl2:

My dad is a golf addict! That's one of the reasons my parents moved to this area after they retired (we have lots of courses nearby). They now live about 10 mins. away from Muirfield, which is where the Memorial Tournament is played every year. Unfortunately, he has ZERO patience for hackers.....which is why my dh doesn't like to play with him anymore! :goodvibes

Jen-Thanks for the update on Jake. So glad to hear things are looking up for him and his family.
