We are going to WDW October 29 through November 6. Can anyone tell me what the crowds are like during this time of year? We had originally planned on going during the week of November 5 through the 13, but decided to change because of Jersey Week and anticipated crowds due to it being a short school week for many states. Also would you recommend going to MNSSHP, and if so what would be the best night to go? I assuming that October 31st would be a bad night.
I appreciate any advice and would like to thank you in advance.
We went last year from 10/24 - 11/1 and were very pleased with the crowd level. "Headliner" attractions - i.e. Splash Mtn, Test Track had waits and of course the parades and nighttime shows were crowded, but overall we were able to see and do a lot each day. We stayed at the Poly and even my 6 year old commented on peaceful it was. I would think the week you are going would be even less crowded.
We did MNSSHP on Tuesday and again on Halloween (mainly because I couldn't imagine NOT being in the MK on Halloween) and Tuesday did feel less crowded. Unless you can do the 30th and the 31st, I'd probably recommend the 30th.
We were there in 2004 from 10/26-11/1 and the first few days (which were weekdays) we found crowds to be minimal. Epcat F&WF was a little crowded but MK really wasn't crowded until the weekend. And we did do MNSSHP on 10/31 and it was GREAT. The only major line was at Stich's Great Escape and that was mostly because it hadn't even officially opened yet. We WALKED RIGHT ON to Indy Speedway - that was unbelievable because the line there is always SOOOO long. And (maybe because it was the last night?) CM's were giving candy out in fistfuls!! And some CM's were handing out other candy and treats near the exit gates too. I also think the atmosphere of it actually being Hallloween on that night makes it a little extra special.
I would go back that time of year in a heartbeat and I would DEFINITELY do MNSSHP on 10/31 again.
We are looking at possibly going those same dates!
Crowds are estimated to be a "6" on Sunday the 30th, then 3's and 4's the rest of the week.
We are also debating about MNSSHP on the 30th or the 31st. I think both nights will sell out, but we are leaning towards Halloween. Everyone says the party is really fun!
The crowd level estimates are from the "Unofficial Guide" website. If you go to www.touringplans.com you can click on "Best Days" and see the estimated crowd levels for each day as well as the suggested parks to attend each day. They also have all sorts of tips for choosing tickets, getting the most from the dining plan, etc. I look at it frequently!
