Hi Everyone! My DH and I will be there for MNSSHP on October 2nd (we fly in earlier that day!!!!) and we cannot think of a good costume idea. My husband is 6'8 and sweats very easily so we have been trying to think of something not to heavy and very light. Any ideas? Please help! Have a magical day! :goodvibes

Tarzan? Hercules? :rotfl: Sorry...I can just see DH's face if I mentioned those to him... :rotfl2: I can't even get him to commit to a cloak! :guilty:

My DH and I went as roman god/goddess last year...my dress was long (won't be doing that again!), but his toga was knee length and he wore shorts underneath, so he was pretty comfortable. I'm trying to think of something good for this year... :cool1: :cool1:

note that i have a rather twisted sense of humor, and tend to like costumes that evoke questions and smile :goodvibes this occurs to me to be easy to do ahead of time and should meet his heat concerns. print or photocopy the map of the park you will be in that night, go to one of shops that will turn it into a tshirt transfer and have it put on a t shirt with one addition-an arrow that points up to his face with the words "you are here". he is now a wdw sign.

an alternate (somewhat less tasteful i admit) is to buy a large black t-shirt and draw a broken line down the center (like you would see on a 2 lane road), buy some small stuffed animals with suction cups (garfield type) and sew them to the front of the shirt-"road kill". yeah i know-not in the best taste, but it gets some great smiles.

We got TLC Trading Spaces shirts from Discovery store online and are going as the red team. Simple cheap and Dh said he would actually wear that.
Ds is Buzz and DS (8) is not decided yet

We are going October 23 and my DH will be a pirate. Simple cutoffs, striped t-shirt and an eye patch. Trying to talk him into a hat or sword, but this will do. pirate:

You could go the "Tacky Tourist" route. Loud Hawaiian shirt, straw hat, shorts (I'd go with plaid to increase the tacky!), black socks and white tennies or sandals, with a camera on a strap around the neck. Bonus points if you fake a one-sided sunburn and "raccoon eyes."

It's not the most unique costume in the world, but it would be cool and comfy!

Put a dark circle around one of your eyes and then both wear white t-shirts with a duct tape "P" on the front and go as "black-eyed peas".

Sorry...couldn't resist...saw it on the internet last year and thought it was a clever idea!

How about a basketball player and cheerleader. Given his height people may even believe that he is a pro.

How about white t-shirts with your names ironed on them, black slacks and mouse ears? You can be mouseketeers. :earsgirl: :earsboy:
