Yes 1000 for hats, and don't forget the Explorer suits were about 1000 a piece that's why many people couldn't afford the parts.

the cowboy hat was 500 credits for instance and so was the tiara, while the indian headdress and the top hat were 1000.

Of course they may have all new prices for us this time around who knows.

and also the indian costume didnt have pants, so it cost 2000 only because the headdress was 1000 credits.

i am also very curious about wether or not the mask will be available!!!

I wasn't here for Halloween, but based on Everest, Blue Baseball, Wildcat Sweatsuit and Tron, my guess is 500 for most pieces, 1000 credits for some parts (like maybe the Indian Headdress). So 2-3k per full costume.

I do hope they come out with the superhero mask! I wouldn't even mind so much if they left it untradable so long as I can buy one for myself! I traded for the green suit a long time ago, just no mask. And what did Mrs. Incredible say? The secret identity is the most valuable possesion of the super hero! lol

I also wonder with the Yellow Explorer which version it'll be... Will it be the plain yellow shirt or the version with the "camera" (that has always looked like binoculars to me). I hope at least they have the plain yellow, it's the only version I'm currently missing. Both would be fine too. I still have my green versions to keep me rare and stylin'

I wonder if any of the costumes will be boys only. It's a sure bet the dresses will remain girls only. And I wouldn't be surprised if pink superhero is girls only. I wonder if Brown Mansion and Red Cowboy will only be for the man cubs.

To answer your question about the Explorer's outfit, last year they had both shirts available to buy at the same time. So, my guess is that's what they'll do again.

The green superhero might be more than it was before. Same for the red dress, blue baseball, Wildcat suit, and Everest if they remain (or disappear this week and come back in October).

I remember last year, this is what they did with the green Explorer's outfit. It was for sale at 500 credits per piece for a very long time and then disappeared the week before it was re-released for Halloween with a higher price for both shirts. Plain shirt went up to 1000 and the one with camera went up to 1100.


Who knows if any of the new costumes released would be boys only. Last year there was a lot of speculation that the mansion suit would be boys only and it's for both.

I certainly hope that the Cowboy pants and hat will be available. There will be so many people that will buy the cowboy jackets that don't have the pants and hat.
I don't want to see pantless people running around VMK!

Unless you have a girl character, it's cheaper for boys than girls.
Of course, my boy characters are going to buy all the costumes they can get.

Oh yes, I know about that previous costume being boys only. So is the Wildcat Sweatsuit I mentioned. Just as the chearleader and red evening gown (or whatever that HSM dress is called) are for the girls. In each case there was something for each gender. An equal number of "new items" for each to buy.

In this case I was just wondering "outloud" if any of the new items would be boys only. Since they are re-releasing girls only items, the girls will get a chance to buy more costumes than the boys... And yes, I know the dresses are re-issues (most items listed in the newsletter are), it still means the girls get to do more shopping than the boys.

And while I get the stereo-type that girls like shopping more than boys, in game I'm a boy who likes to buy lots of stuff!

Mind you, I really don't like anything to be Only this or that. But It's sad that girls get the opportunity to buy more "new" things than the boys. That's all.

I have to agree with you (even being a girl) there are so many girl only items and so few boy only....it seems the boy items are acceptable for girls to wear most of the time. I'm not complaining - I adore wearing the pirate hat, etc..but I do feel bad for you guys...

Both Superhero costumes will also use the same boots. So save another 1000 credits.

Well from looking at cteddiesgirl pic of the brown mansion suit it is a girl wearing so I would say that maybe it is for both and maybe not but it is diffinitly for girls you would think.! Since I don't have any of the mansions suits I will be happy with either and I am going to get both.

But I do have a question on your list? On the costumes list you lsit in the Native American the cowboy pants and boots. So when it was first relaeased was the cowboy pants part of that set? I agree it would be funny to see alot of pantless people running around vmk.
I do have my complete cowboy set,... but would like to buy extra sets for trading. Guess we 'll just have to wait and see. Which that is coming out the second week! Still I can't wait til next week.

That's interesting that they pulled it from the shelves to re-tag it with a new price. It'll be interesting to see if the do the same for the Everest baseball, cheerleader, red dress, and Wildcat suit. I wonder since some of that has been moved to "clothing" if it'll change. I also wonder if they'll finally retire some of it... especially the still "Special" High School Musical items.

Seeing your recent repost of the girl wearing the brown mansion, I expect it to be omni-sex now. Ah well. Again, it's not that I really want things to be Boy Only. I just am bummed that I don't get to buy as many things as the girls. I have no interest in my character wearing a dress (well, it might be good for a laugh from time-to-time ala Bugs Bunny or whatever), and I fully understand why Disney's "Values" wouldn't want a boy to wear a dress in game... but I should still be able to buy it for trade (in real life Men design, make, and sell women's clothing all the time). I've had many a trade with a girl go south because I couldn't trade her any of the dress items she was looking for.

Also, since girls get a tiara it would be nice if boys could get some kind of prince's "crown" too. Heck, they have the whole princess thing going on - why not some kind of exclusive boys Prince Charming suit? Maybe not a full set of Knight armor (though that would be Awesome!), but certainly some kind of Royal Dress Clothes... I picture it as a suit like what Prince Charming wears at the end of Sleeping Beauty...

lol - Well you know when you ride the tram into DLR the voice on the speaker specifically says the "Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times while in the park." Doesn't say anything about pants. I've always figured pants were optional. Seriously, I do wonder if they'll release some kind of pants and shoes for the indian. I know the "cowboy" boots are really "Native American" boots - but hey Disney! Sorry Indians never used spurs! And while the Cowboy pants work for the Cheif headdress well enough, I'd rather have something more tribal looking to match the Native American shirt. And I heard once they had mocassins, though I've never seen them.
