DD, DS and I will be going to WDW next month and doing our first ever MNSSHP on October 10th - woo hoo. DD is 12 and I am having a heck of a time finding a costume for her. We were all hoping to be villians and the Queen of Hearts or Cruella are her two primary choices. I, of course, am going to be the Evil Queen, which should be too much of a stretch ;)

I found two very cute (and reasonably priced) QoH and Cruella costumes, but both only go up to size 8/10. Neither will fit. The other costumes are adult size and are a "one size fits all" so I am sure that they would be way to big for her :( DisneyStore.com has costumes which come in adult S, but, I am not going to spend $100+ for a Halloween costume! Yes, you can call me cheap, LOL. I have also tried Ebay with no luck :( :(

Does anyone have ANY suggestions?????

I feel for you!! :( We have the same problem; my daughter is mad for the disney princesses, but it is difficult to find anything in her size. It is infuriating that the Disney catalogue measurement guide lists XL as a childs' 14/16, but nothing is ever offered in that size. And the womans' small would just be too big and too long to be of any use at all. As my daughter is only 10, we would still be very interested in clothing for dressup and Halloween as well as vacation wear. I guess Disney believes we are a very small demographic. So, long story short (!), I am sorry that I can't offer any assistance or advice, but I do sympathize and understand your dilemma.

Keep checking Ebay! There are new listings everyday for all sorts of Disney costumes or try doing a search on google (or another search engine) for "discount disney costumes". Good luck!

At one time Macy's carried a red velvet dress with spotted "fur around the edges in 7-16 sizes. What about something like that for cruella? All she would need would be a wig and make up Maybe have her carry a dalmation.Use the picture and see if you can find soething similar.

If you look at the latest Disney catalog, the cruella outfit they are selling is just a plain black dress. Then add on the white dalmation fur coat and wig. so, why not have her wear a black dress. See if you can get a faux white fur coat and then color on black dots with a sharpie marker. Really, you wouldn't even have to add the dots. She could carry around a long cigarette holder (you could easily make this.)

Last year my 10 year old was Belle - with the blue outfit. I made her a blue skirt with Bib overall type top. There is no sewing pattern for this, so I used a Dorothy from Wizard of Oz and modified it. She wore a white top under it and carried around a book. She looked just like Belle.

Another thing is I get a lot of catalogs (example: Lillian Vernon) and most of them have costumes right now. There are always a few for "I Dream of Jeannie" type outfits. These usually come in the bigger teen sizes too. She could get one of these and be Jasmine. These usually run about $30.

My DD, 9, wants to be Kissing Kate Barlow from the movie holes. I haven't quite figured out what the costume is going to be, since I don't recall what this character looks like from the movie. Luckily, the video release for this is coming up next week. I'm hoping a denim shirt and a cowboy hat will suffice, and maybe we'll take some fabric paint and paint on the "lizzard thing" on the shirt.

If any one has other ideas - I would love to hear them!
