We are going to take a long weekend at the end of the year to DLP. The only problem is i can't decide when to go. Would anyone have any recommendations about which celebration to head to, Halloween, Bonfire Night or Christmas???

we went at christmas last year and it was so magical and we are going back again at xmas this year

The Christmas season is my favourite time of the year to go, if I can choose just one day to go, it would be during Christmas season.
I'm going to try to go for Halloween this year, maybe I'll like that too, but since I am not Halloween-oriented, I know it won't take Christmas season's place.

We went for Christmas itself in 2005 and it was so wonderful! :santa:

This year we are going for Halloween which looks great fun :dance3: :hmghost: :dance3: but I don't think you can beat the Christmas season for Disney magic so my vote would be the Christmas season but early on so it won't be too crowded.

both are lovely times, weather will not be so cold during the halloween and the leaves on the trees around the NewPort Bay area were turning red and awesome!! then again, they snow at Main Street USA was bretaking (maybe more for me as we dont have snow here.. fake snow was better than none)

We've never been for Halloween, some people say it's good some said the parade was terrifying for little kids but to be honest I never had the desire to be there for Halloween, it just doesn't do for me :lmao:

We went a week before Xmas last year and it was great! We all loved it, it wasn't 'that' cold but the whole atmosphere was beyond words... Lovely lovely... And I can imagine this year because of the anniversary it'll be even more magical.

BTW, What on Earth am I doing on the board??? :rotfl2: We're going to DLRP this morning and I'm posting :dance3:

Enjoy planning!

Ema - off to the magic :wizard:

lots of people will say different things because its really all down to personal preference however, in my opinion you can't beat the christmas season. its so magical and wintery and theres so much excitement in the air! im all excited just thinking about it :santa:
