Halloween at the Resorts

We might go down to WDW for Halloween weekend. It's too late to get tickets for the party at MK, but do the resorts themselves do anything related to Halloween? I think my daughter might miss the activities

We will also be there for Halloween this year. We did the MNSSHP last year (Oct 5) and we are not choosing to do it again. We are planning on going over to Celebrations to do some early (5pm-7pm) trick or treating and then off to Epcot for dinner at LeCellier. We have a 5yrDS and a 6yrDD. We would not want them to miss out on trick or treating, so we decided to squeeze in some and check out Celebrations while we do it.

You could also hang out at the Boardwalk and take in some of their activities as well.

If you want to go to MNSSHP I think there are tickets still available. I just checked disney.com and 10/29 and 10/31 are still listed as having tickets available.

I haven't been to Disney at Halloween time in over ten years, but back then they had Halloween parties at select resorts for kids. I remember going to one at the Polynesian two different years. They also use to do neat things at MK. I remember someone dressed as a werewolf creeping around the cemetary at the Haunted Mansion. He was waiting for us at the attraction exit and scared the daylights out of me! The also had a man dressed as a scarecrow nearby that was difficult to determine if it was a dummy or a person. I would imagine that none of this takes place anymore and was replaced my MNSSHP.

Last year on Oct 31st Contemporary had a great carved pumpkin display, some really detailed entries too! If you're there on the 31st, try not to miss that.

This is alittle off subject, but does anyone have any past experience with crowds at MNSSHP prior to Halloween? We can attend either the 17th or 20th and I'm trying to decide which to do.
