Halloween at Disney

so this is kind of a backward sort of post... We will be on a kid free disney trip over Halloween. What is going on at the disney parks that you need a special ticket for or special Halloween event?

We are looking for a more traditional Disney experience that day rather than a Halloween themed day and are wondering what to avoid...don't get me wrong we don't mind Halloween at all, just don't want to end up paying extra or cutting a day short for something we don't really care about.

MK has a hollowed party so they will close early 7pm to guest that do not have a ticket so if you do not have park hoper I would not go to MK that day ( they do have it other days) but MK tends to be a little lass crowded the morning of

Just avoid MK on Halloween Day. If you are staying at an onsite resort, you'll probably want to avoid the pool as that's where lots of holiday-based activities will take place.

You'll also want to avoid MK on any days where MNSSHP is scheduled. The other parks don't have plans for Halloween.

It's the shorter hours and Party guests are allowed entry at 4:00. The last 3 hours of the regular day will be crowded and many guests will be in costume.

There are two schools of thought.

1. Some people don't go because of the shortened hours and no evening entertainment.
2. Some people go because its less crowded due to number 1.

Gotcha. Just curious. We're doing MK on Halloween and not attending the party. I figure starting at 8am, we will be fine leaving whenever it seems to be getting crowded.
