Our Grandson will be 2.5 years old when we go to Disney end of October into November. So we'll be there over Halloween. He adored Halloween this year and I kind of feel bad that he won't get to go knocking on doors this year. He's too young for the boo bash, as it's too late for him.

Are there any other halloween type events that are during the day in the parks or at the hotels that could make up for that? We can bring him a pumpkin and fill it up for him ourselves, but was hoping there might be something for the little ones in the park.

Assuming there will probably be special halloween themed treats so we could also buy him a couple of things throughout the day and possibly even get someone in the hotel in guest services or something to give him a basket that we provide if he goes up and says trick or treat (like I could go wait in line and give it to someone when its my turn), and then my daughter brings him over while I'm still there and he says trick or treat and they give him the basket. This way he sort of gets to do a trick or treat.

Anyway, I'd love to hear some ideas you have personally done or seen.

I'm not expecting that Disney will be handing out Candy. But I'm thinking that we could some how make something magical if we bring some candy along and have people we encounter throughout the day help us if he says trick or treat. Disney has always been magical and accommodating and I find most cast members love making little ones smile. He just turned two so will be 2 and a half by then. It will be easy to pull off things as he won't understand,

In the past, all the resorts had activities. I’ve seen the posts here on the Disboards. Maybe do a search for that? There were the activities lists from all the resorts posted here. And it looked like lots of fun things happening!

Yay, I'll do some more digging. :)

The campground at Fort Wilderness is pretty decked out for Halloween. There are plenty of vlogs you can watch to see if that’s something you would like too.

Hollywood and Vine in HS does character dining with Mickey and the gang in their Halloween costumes during the fall.

They might bring the party back. Probably hear in a couple of months since they start Halloween stuff in Aug.

Where are you staying? The resorts usually have Halloween activities. Be aware that you will NOT be able to get into Fort Wilderness if you are not staying there.

Halloween is our favorite time and we've never gone to the in-park party, we ALWAYS do the one at our resort (YC/BC). They have trick or treating, dance party, characters, etc. (last time we went was before COVID hit, though).

I didn’t even know that resorts got in on the fun! Did you go ON Halloween, or just in October? Looking at a trip around 23-27 and I would love this.

I've heard you can only get in if you're a resort guest.

Don't count out the little ones on the late hours. My kid did it at 2 and at 3, with a nap. You know your kid.

Disney does hand out candy at the party. But it takes forever because there's a line queue to a big venue, like the circus tent across from Dumbo, so I hated it!

Hmm, that I don’t know about as I’ve never done it, but I think if you take Disney transportation you can go to FW.
Someone else who knows for sure will hopefully chime in.
But I know I’ve watched vlogs of people going there. PMM for one. And probably Superenthused as well.

Thanks, that's true you could take transportation. MK is open for the MNSSHP that night! :)

last I remember you had to show you were staying at FT. Wilderness when you departed the bus or had dining reservations there. I'm not sure how much it was enforced, so I guess you take your chances.

Your best bet is Resort Hopping via monorail and catch the boat to Wilderness Lodge. Visit four resorts, go trick or treating, play games, meet some characters, etc. at those locations. Easy!

Thanks! Most likely we will just go back to the ASMovies, I don't think I'd even want to mess with trying to go to the campgrounds. I'll have to give that idea to my daughter. That's an interesting one!! Like it!
