Halloween At Aluani & Newbie Questions

I am very excited to be going to Aluani for the 1st time in October. Our trip is for 7 nights and overlaps Halloween. Has anyone been to Aluani for Halloween and are there any must see festivities in the area we should check out? Also, we will have a car, so what are your top three recommendations to drive and see? We are already booked to visit Pear Harbor & Kualoa Ranch so looking for more options.

I highly recommend he Bishop Museum and the Iolani Palace.

As an add on to a day trip to the south-east part of the island, consider the Byodo-In Temple, and a stop at the Nuuanu Pali lookout.

A hike to a waterfall (there are several depending on your fitness level) or up a volcano (Diamond Head or Koko Head), or to a lighthouse (Makapu’u Point Lighthouse trai) is a memorable way to soak in some of the natural surroundings)

Of course Pearl Harbor for a historical stop.
