I never dress up for the party myself. I'm horrible at costume planning

No contests as I recall...however the cast were just loving our costumes!! I made them - seems that Mickey's tuxedo uses the same pattern as "Uncle Sam". I was going nuts trying to find Mickey costumes that would fit 3 "not small" adult women...after much searching I decided to make them. Well, then came the pattern issue. I was tossing the pages of a pattern book and for some reason looked at the Uncle Sam costume - then realized that it was the same as Mickey...just different patterns and colors.

Took about a month to make all 3. My cleaning woman thinks I am certifible crazy.

Conc - you remember us???? Where did we see you? It is dark and we are all a little blind (the dark glasses just finish it )

They have a Mickey Not so Scarey Halloween Party

You can look at the WDW website at the caledar for the nights that will have the NSSHP and those nights they boot out the daytime ppl unless you have a special ticket for the Not so scarey party...

We personally prefer the night ticket/party. For the not so scary and the pirate and princess... if you go and ride and have a blast, then you can ride EVERYTHING with no waits and get right on everything. Its awsome and the best way to see Magic Kingdom, in our opinions. Of course we don't really participate in the trick or treating lines or the lines to get pirate beads or whatever the party is about (like everyone else) and just hit the rides instead.

I am not sure if we are going to the party this oct while there.... I will have to check into it more....

Glad you have internet again....We had such a blast in those costumes. I think the cast enjoyed them as much as we did!!

We are now chatting about going to the MNSSHP again this year, since we will have a neophyte with us (really - he has NEVER been to WDW!) we are introducing him with F&W, a fireworks cruise, maybe the MNSSPH, and what ever else sneaks into our devious little minds. OH, and we will have friends from DLR out also....should be fun!

Well since we are talking Halloween and MNSSHP.................

I will be doing the party for the first time this year. I am on the fence about dressing up, although I love to dress up at home to give out the treats. But having to schlep a costume, actually 2, on the plane, not really what I want to do.

So all y'all creative types, what would work for 2 50 something non model sized ladies that wouldn't add much weight to the luggage or should we just come as tourists?

I do have ADRs for Tony's that evening, another first for us.

Hey, I was just checking out the website for the bar over at CSR called Rix Lounge. http://www.rix-lounge.com/ It appears that there will be a Halloween Party for families and later on in the evening, just for the adults. I realize that you are not staying there, but it's an option. The bar looks really cool......for a bar. lol

The owner of that bar was very adamant that only the best looking ladies could work his bar, so they can "chat up" the conventioners.

What about the gay travelers??????

And there's a single shot of whiskey there that costs something like $200 iirc.

I'm sorry, but there is nothing there that I would find remotely attractive. Yeah, they have nice bodies, but they all look completely vaccant and Barbie-ish. I think that for most of the lesbian community, they forgot the lesbians too.
