halloween afterhours question

Hi. We are going to Disneyland this Friday. The park hours are from 8 am to 7pm. Then they have a halloween event from 7 pm until midnight. You have to buy additional tickets for that. Does anyone know if we can stay in the park after 7 even though we won't be purchasing those extra tickets? We don't plan on riding the rides during that time, but we would like to shop, eat and look around. How do they know who is there for the halloween event? Since it starts exactly when it closes how do they get everyone out of the park who didn't purchase those extra tickets? Thanks for any advice.

The tickets for the after party have bracelets. Anyone without a bracelet will be asked to leave the park.

Do you know how long it takes for them to notice you don't have a wristband? If you are wearing a sweatshirt, how do they know if you have a wristband on if you are not going on the rides. I was just hoping to save the shopping to the end since they are closing up early. Thanks.

I believe (from what I saw) that once the early hours for the party (at 4) start they section off the front of the park (Left for those who are not part of the party and right for those coming for the party) I'm not sure what happens when the park closes for the day crowd since I wasn't in the front at that time

Anyone WITHOUT a party ticket can shop in the shops on Main Street until 8pm. (As with any day at Disneyland, the shops on Main Street remain open after the Park closes.)
