We will be at the Fort the weekend before Halloween. Are there any special activities going on then or any fun "must do's"? I know there used to be a haunted hayride but believe it was discontinued?

That's a little early for the Fort's Halloween activities. Of course the daily activities around the pool area for the kids (of all ages) might have more of a fall flavor. It will all be listed on the recreation handout you get when you check in.

They do some Halloween things the day before (October 30) besides the traditional October 31. For folks looking for Halloween weekend, here is last year's schedule (no guarantee of course that this year will be identical though):

The Halloween activity schedule looks like it would be so much fun to partake in. I sure hope someday my family can make it down to experience all that spooky fun!

Harvest just might be wrapped up by this Halloween. Maybe I should start making tenative 2016 plans and see what happens.

Pretty sure out of all the holidays to spend at Disney, Halloween would be my top pick!

1) No.
2) Guests will have elaborate site displays, but The Fort does not start to celebrate Halloween that early.
3) And, yes, the Haunted Hay Ride was discontinued . . . some guests got too rowdy and actually made it dangerous for others.
