Halloween 2011. Oct 29th on the Magic

I feel your pain, my daughter is 31 and son 29....so since I'm still 39 I dont know how they got that old??:confused3:confused3:eek:
But I miss them, my daughter is out of state has been for 11 years and my son lives 10 minutes from me.....but I sure miss them around the house...I really dislike my one and only grandchild living so far away, but I do take a few trips a year to go visit....:thumbsup2

We had sun for awhile, but now its starting to cloud up again, about the hail last night?? Someone here said it was hailing, if it did I must have slept thru it!!

Our middle son and his wife live in Grand Rapids so they are less than 2 hours away, oldest is across town and youngest is over in the thumb so I am lucky with no one more than 3 hours away.

With my daughter in the military, I honestly dont see her coming back this way....she only has 9 years to go and then she can retire....she may beat me out:laughing: I'm thinking tho that before she does retire, there will be a stint in Hawaii and Germany....at least that is her goal....
So my son better not even think about moving away....I need one of mykids around....

Boy its really chilly out....I cant believe how the temp dropped..

Happy Friday everyone! It is a tropical 52 degrees in Cadillac this morning and not supposed to get much warmer. My kind of weather although I think it is playing havoc with my sinuses.

Denise - thank her for serving for me. I know she is away from home and all that goes with that, but you must be so proud. Germany - Hawaii - not bad places to go and visit her.

Anyone have anything fun planned for the weekend? I am laying low today, my ears are all plugged up and I just don't feel good so will try and work some from here today and make the rest up over the weekend.

Morning....

Gail, I will thank her for you...

My plans for the weekend.....tomorrow my cousin's daughter is getting married so have the wedding to go to...I'm acutually looking forward to going, its been awhile since we had a wedding in the family, so looking forward to seeing all the relatives.
sunday, I will most likely drive into Chicago and visit my dad. I go every other week to visit him....God Bless him, he is 96 and lives on his own, in relative good health, decreased hearing and his short term memory is going, but other than that he does pretty well...

Gail feel better....
enjoy the weekend I'm at least hoping the weather heats up just a little more, I could handle low to mid 70's.....yesterday was just down right chilly...

hey yall...sailworkless glad everything and everyone is ok!

I am working this weekend so no plans...plus my summer is going to be boring since i have the florida seasonal pass

Happy rainy Saturday! Before I forget, if anyone needs park passes, today is the day to get them as there will be a price increase tomorrow. I purchased our tickets last night after reading about the price change. Was planning on August but that is OK. Just happy I caught it.

Not much new - my ears are better this morning, or at least I think they are. I have to get the the grocery in between the rain drops. I really don't like going to the store in the rain but there are a few things I need to pick up. Guess I won't melt! Still chilly - all of 52 and that is also supposed to be our high today. Some sun would be really nice.....

Enjoy your Saturday, at work or at home, whatever the case may be.

Good Morning everyone!
We have two HS graduations to attend today! Thank goodness they're indoor graduations as it will be a high of 92 today here in NC. We will probably take the girls to the pool later on today to cool off and possibly throw a couple things on the BBQ.
We are vacationing for a week in Charleston starting father's day and I'm trying to plan some stuff for the whole family to do. :yay:
I hope everyone has a fantastic WE.

Ok, I just purchased our tickets for after the cruise (november) we are just staying one night and I just purchased a 1 day ticket...stupid question after the fact....I assuming that I will need to stop somewhere at the park, we are planning on just doing epcot and activate the ticket?? and does it matter what park? I'm hoping thats how it works, I dont want my ticket expired before I use it.

Denise - your ticket isn't activated until you use it. I had toyed with the idea of purchasing tickets for next year but I don't know if we will go next year at all (unless DS#2 takes us up on our offer) so I will just choke it down and pay next year's prices then if I need to.

Sun is shining right now although it is only in the low 60's. Made it to the grocery and back home again without any rain, maybe it is over.

Hi everyone! Have not posted for a while, sorry!

We are still trying to make up our minds about what to do for our port days! I know in Key West we will walk around, go to Irish Kevin's (a bar) for a while (it is my DH's fav) and then head back to the ship for a while to get some time in at pool or spa while others are ashore!
We will only do something in one of the other two ports, so a beach day in either GC or Cozumel. Right now I am leaning towards Nachi Cococum in Cozumel. Last year we did the Rum Point Beach Break in GC and that was a great beach day, but the drinks were expensive (as is everything in GC) so I was thinking maybe we should do something all inclusive!

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend, I spent both Friday and Saturday at our community pool, great pool weather here in Central Fla!:cool1:
Today I will be cleaning. :sad1:

Trying to avoid it by reading on the DIS!! :rotfl2:

If ovens can be self-cleaning, why can't houses?? Wouldn't it be so cool to just flip a switch? I need to vac and tidy the kitchen today.

Read through this whole thread to help with my planning. Thanks everybody, for the great tips and ideas on shore excursions.

Questions...has anyone checked with Disney about if there will be a change in the dining rotation? Halloween falls on formal night, so I'm wondering if they'll switch things up?

I wondered the same thing earlier although they probably don't know as yet themselves. I would think it would be difficult to do Formal Night on Sunday due to the fact that we don't sail from Key West until 7:30 so maybe Grand Cayman night?? That would make it tight for anyone with a late excursion but doable I would guess (but I have late dinner and only DH to get ready). Just guessing....

Well, gorgeous day here, sorry to see the weekend come to an end. Back to work tomorrow.

I'm getting close to the point of cleaning our house with a gas can and a match! Not sure my insurance agent will approve, though:rolleyes1

We got our airfare today. We are now flying in on Thursday night instead of Wednesdat but we can still do the MNSSHP if we chose. Not sure if we are going to do it. I like special ticket events but so close to Hween it might be too crowded to enjoy it.

Good Monday Morning! Back to the grind - but I need to be able to pay for this addiction I have with DCL somehow! We fly 19 weeks from tomorrow.

Morning:

Well its Monday again.....this day just keeps returning every 7 days I dont get it :confused3 :rotfl:

Had a really nice weekend....had a wedding to attend saturday night...it was very nice, had a great time, got to see family that you only see at weddings and funerals....so enjoyed talking to all of them.
Yesterday a trip to chicago to visit my dad....then cut the lawn and thats about it....did some :laundy: and cooked dinner....and relaxed the rest of the day.

Well I better get busy
later all

Hey everyone!!! well I worked all weekend...but it was okay. I spent a little quality time with the boys.

So my check engine light is on, i need freon in my ac, and my radiator light is on...

something like this happened last year before I had to pay my cruise. I should just put a grand on top of every vacation I plan for my car.

So far I think the fix is not quite expensive..but I have a sneaky suspicion once these issues are fixed..something else will happen around sept. :rotfl:

I love my car/suv..I don't know what to call my Tribute. but its old and its having a midlife crisis.

weather is scorching hot here in FLA.

but today, DISNEY STORE has its TWICE UPON a YEAR sale...and I bought couple things for the cruises.

and I'm hoping next week on pay day, I can get me a new Mickey Mouse tee and some more items on sale.

So sorry to hear about your vehicle. I took our truck in last week for an oil change and to have them look at it as it wasn't running well (at least not until it was warmed up) and it was only 157.00. It needed a belt and something else (starter cable to a spark plug maybe) and was thrilled it was only that much. So wishing you good luck on yours!

No Disney store even close to us so I am out of luck on that. There is always the website though.:banana:
