Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

I watched the new movie A Reason for the Season. The beginning and overall small town were the best parts. I did like how the same characters, 35 years older, took a new group picture at the end. The other actors didn't grow on me all that much. I have issue with intentionally lying. I did love Kyle's spirit and appreciation of his town. I mean Evie and her mother Elizabeth didn't stick with me as some movie families do. I would have loved another 10 minutes to have seen other kindness Evie and her mom did in the future. I also thought there could have been a reminder that an act of kindness does not need to cost any money! A smile or genuine prayer for someone are free. So many things. Overall different theme which was nice.

I went to Mariah Carey's Christmas concert Sunday (it was free) and she sang that song Lacey's on screen daughter sang in the movie (can't remember the name but the one with Lacey, Brennen and Mariah). It was actually a good concert with all the dancers including kid ballet dancers, it was like a broadway type production.
LOL I don't know if I could stomach her even free. I just watched that on Wednesday. I have heard that song on the radio and heard it at Target on Sunday.

Happy Christmas Movie watching this weekend! :santa:

I am enjoying FRNDLY and have decided to keep it for a month. It's wonderful to be able to basically fast forward commercials.

I would definitely recommend a free trial :)

@flyingdumbo127 You mentioned earlier that you also signed up for Hallmark+ and something else. If you do not want to keep those and pay for them beyond that free trial month, make sure you cancel both of them before the month is over.

Thank you as always Imzadi. I did sign up and saw the record option on some movies. I "added on" for free for 7 days Hallmark and Pure Flix. Should I choose to subscribe for one month for $7.99 would those two add-ons be extra costs? I did a free trial of Pure Flix months ago which I really enjoyed.

@flyingdumbo127 Remember to cancel Pure Flix too, if you don't want to keep it beyond the trial.

Got both my friend, thank you again.

I just finished watching Five More Minutes: Moments Like These. I think I liked the first unrelated Five More Minutes better but really loved the young boy Adam in this movie. He did a great job acting. Touching story for sure.

I also watched A Christmas Less Traveled. Loved the elderly Bed and Breakfast owners Ezra and Betty who the main actors, Desi and Grayson meet when they stay there. I admit to wishing Grayson had adopted the dog who he seemed bonded with but love that dog care and adoption was included. Of course, hearing the children sing, Away in a Manger was a huge highlight.

My beloved late grandparents I believe would have liked this movie. Grandpa loved cars. Grandma loved red cars so Old Red the truck would have reasonated with them. I was glad Desi got to keep it.

Desi’s Dad’s voice sends her and “Old Red” out to retrace her family’s most memorable moments one last time. Just as the journey begins, Desi meets Greyson (Johnson) who offers her a generous payment in exchange for a ride to “close the most important deal” of his life. Little do Desi and Greyson realize the less traveled road will reveal more about each of them than they could have ever known.

Thanks Imzadi. I have previously enjoyed A Cozy Christmas Quilt. I love that Liam put in so much love to make the quilt for his sister. I don't even sew a button but a hand made with love and happy memories Christmas quilt sure sounds very special indeed.

Jingle Bell Run was fun last night and didn't disappoint. There were a few scenes that cracked me up... all the way down to the kiss at the end of the movie. I kinda felt like they went into the scene serious and then they just cracked up.

HOWEVER... I also caught the replay of Christmas with the Singhs last night. Wow.. that was some great writing and a good movie. It was different because it really focused on the people surrounding the couple and how hard it is to bring two families together. Yes, the cultural differences highlighted that difficulty, but almost all couples feel the pull for priority between their families. I thought this movie did a good job of showing how hard that can be and some great examples of how to navigate those difficulties.

Interesting. I didn't know GAF is still showing previously released movies as their movie premieres. I thought this holiday season they finally filmed enough if their own movies.

This is the same situation for UPtv. They are also "premiering" movies which have already been shown elsewhere.

Googling. . . A Cozy Christmas Quilt was released in Australia & online last year under the name of "The Fabric of Christmas."

Funny, I almost watched it last week on YouTube under it's old name. It's on several free streaming services too with the old name: Tubi, Xumo, Roku, Plex.
