Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

I am thinking of the first movie of two that take place in Wilsonville. The second movie is two actresses search for one of their missing sisters. It turns out that they are sisters. The first movie was a single mom and her two young children.
I believe the mom in the beginning did lose her job at a diner but got employed at a bakery later on. Sadly, her ex-husband chose not healthy/positive ways to keep a relationship with his children. I remember he tries to pick them up from their daycare but is thankfully prevented from doing so.

Thank you Imzadi for A Christmas Kiss link. I will check that out. I did watch Christmas Reservations last night via FRNDLY. It took me forever to figure out that when the picture would freeze the solution was to click onto "Home," and then "Continue watching." I had to do this a number of times but ultimately saw the entire movie. It has Melissa Joan Hart and Michael Gross in it so a different kind of casting. The main actor was also new to me, Ricardo Chavira. A simpler story that was enjoyable. I loved Teddy the reindeer dog :)

Yestgerday, Lifetime TV's YouTube channel uploaded this movie from a few years ago. Hopefully, that means they will put more of their old Christmas movies onto YouTube in the next few weeks.

It's Christmas PenPals. It's a very sweet movie about people in the same town writing Christmas letters to each other. They've been matched up by the town's matchmaker who also happens to be their mail person. Stars Sarah Drew and Niall Matter.

It's also on Tubi and maybe Pluto.

I watched one from 2014ish with Bethany Joy Lenz. She was a single mom, with a “Bro” ex, and they were being evicted right before Christmas and she lost her job, and the ex filed for custody of the kids. She did a good deed which eventually led her to a new guy and lost family. That premise would not be made today. Her situation was too precarious. The dilemmas in today’s movies are much less about physical safety.
Was it The Christmas Secret (2014) ? If so I loved that movie! A good example of what I was thinking of the tonal shift.
The two Wilsonville movies I mentioned above are indeed The Christmas Secret and the Christmas Note.

The Christmas Note will be on Hallmark Mystery on Monday night at 6pm ET.

The Christmas Secret will be on Hallmark Mystery on Wed at 4pm ET.

Brooke Shields did a Christmas movie for Netflix a few years ago with Cary Elwes. It is set at a Scottish castle, aptly titled A Castle for Christmas. I found it up at Dailymotion for free. Brooke did a good job. Cary was a bit too grumpy all the way through.

I mentioned a couple times about Finding Mr. Christmas. It's the non-scripted, reality TV Hallmark series created & hosted by Jonathan Bennett, where 10 men compete each week in a series of competitions & eliminations to become Hallmark's Mr Christmas and will star in his own Hallmark movie at the end of the competition. The series and the movie have been already filmed.

The first 2 episodes originally aired on Hallmark+.

Then someone uploaded it to YouTube for a day or so, before it got removed.

Then Hallmark+ uploaded it to their official YouTube channel.

NOW the first 2 episodes will be air on the Hallmark Channel tonight starting at 8pm ET and the second episode at 9pm ET.

I have to wonder if not enough viewers were interested in this and they are finding any way to get people to see it? :confused3

Just put the whole series on Hallmark already.

I am enjoying FRNDLY and have decided to keep it for a month. It's wonderful to be able to basically fast forward commercials. Christmas Under the Northern Lights maybe wasn't overall the best movie I have watched but I loved the faith of the main actor. I also enjoyed a movie called Christmas a la Mode. I would definitely recommend a free trial :)

Well… this show got me in trouble tonight. So, DH watched his Survivor while I plugged my earbuds into Duolingo and then YouTube. After it was over, he switched the channel to Hallmark, teasing me that he knew what I wanted to watch.

It was right during the photo shoots of Finding Mr. Christmas… half of which were shirtless. He was like “what on earth is this? I thought you were watching movies on here!” I laughed and said “I don’t know what this is… I haven’t been watching it!” It intrigued him enough to watch the rest of it with me.

I decided the Australian guy is my fave. :p

I finally have watched all 4 Godwink Christmas movies. I loved them all, perhaps the very last movie most of all because it reminded me that service to God can take many forms. I just need to open my heart and listen. I really was so touched also by the third movie and love that we got to see the real life family at the end. Are all 4 movies based on true stories? Are they each a real book? I believe the first movie is for sure. Thanks, friends and happy Thursday :grouphug:

All 4 movies are based on true stories. I think all 4 of them show the real life couples at the end of the movies. My favorite movie is #2.

I watched the first hour of “Finding Mr. Christmas.”
As expected, it was not as obnoxious as traditional reality shows.
I wouldn’t be upset if I don’t see another one, but it’s harmless enough and I wouldn’t refuse to watch it 🤷🏽‍♀️

I went to Mariah Carey's Christmas concert Sunday (it was free) and she sang that song Lacey's on screen daughter sang in the movie (can't remember the name but the one with Lacey, Brennen and Mariah). It was actually a good concert with all the dancers including kid ballet dancers, it was like a broadway type production.
