Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

Just watched New Years Resolution, thought that it was good. Side note, it was nice to see a character as a female police officer in uniform.

Haven't seen the skiing movie yet. A friend was over last night so I missed it :(

Watching the skiing movie Two For The Win right now and all that comes to mind is Olympic gold and silver medalist in men’s downhill, Tommy Moe 😍🤤🥰. He was a big name in skiing in the 90s. Cute, blond, skiing.

I posted about this series before. Some of you saw it then and also loved this series, too. I'm repeating the info as it's on again this SATURDAY, starting at 10am. (Not 12 noon as the commercials say.) :woohoo:

My all time favorite Hallmark Movies & Mysteries series Signed, Sealed, Delivered will be on Saturday as a marathon. :woohoo:

The Order:
Saturday, on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries (HM&M)

10am ET: the 2 hour pilot movie.
It really sets up the whole series, so try to record this one if you don't have space for the other episodes.

12 pm noon - 10pm: the 10 one hour episodes showing IN ORDER!

10pm ET: another 2 hr movie continuing the same series. :cloud9:

This series was created by the woman who created the Touched By An Angel series. So, it has better writing than Hallmark's other series, IMO. It started with the pilot movie, then 10 one-hour episodes, which I guess they showed weekly when they first came out. But, then the series switched format to two-hour movies instead, which premiered only twice a year. There are 11 movies.

The series really should be seen in order, as the friendships and relationships grow throughout the series, then the movies. They carry on from where they left off in the previous episode.

The description of the show sounds horribly boring: a group of postal employees at the Dead Letter Office try to locate the recipient of a letter each episode. 😴 But, the show is really about more than that. They open the letters to glean info about who and why they were sent.

These are intriguing mysteries which have a Touched By An Angel, spiritual component to them. Where it turns out that it's vitally important the letters they choose be given to the intended recipient at that precise time, (some years later,) as they really do end up changing not only the recipient's life, but this group of postal workers, too. They grow closer and more complex with each episode & movie. They've become some of my favorite TV characters. :grouphug:

Record as many as you can! As I said, start from the beginning. They don't show this series as much as they do the other mystery series. It was only shown on the Hallmark app for the longest time. So, it might be several months before the 10 episodes are shown again on TV.

I enjoy all Hallmark movies. They are not pretencious or hyped or trying to be intelligent. More grounded I think, & more realistic to life. Tastes vary, I know. Used to watch them all the time, not only the Christmas ones. :)

The most of the rest of the Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies will be on tomorrow,as a marathon on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries starting at 10am ET.

If you are watching from last week, it skips over two movies and the Christmas movie. But the friendships and relationships have already been established. So, you won't miss much. The movies are showing IN ORDER tomorrow. :yay:

I liked last week's movie A Winter Getaway, in which a guy is given a vacation that his billionaire BFF can't go on after all and the trip is already paid for.

What I really liked about it is how the movie really highlighted some stuff to do in Banff, Canada. For instance, I had no idea that there are businesses for people to go dog sledding for fun. :dogdance: I found this place in which one can take a ride:

https://www.banfftours.com/things-to-do/dogsledding/

I just hope the dogs are well rested in between rides and that they aren't pulling more weight than they can really handle.

I also never really thought about how there are recreational curling centers the way there are bowling alleys.

I really liked how the writers were able to weave in the fact that they can't have a lot of people in the movies right now, by making it part of the story. That a billionaire would always rent out a whole place for himself.

Hallmark Channel's annual Kitten Bowl VIII :cat: will be on Superbowl Sunday at 2-4pm ET. It is the only time it will air.

If you are not into cats, or want to see cute doggies too, the annual Puppy Bowl XVII :dogdance: will be on the Animal Planet channel, 2-5pm or 6-9pm ET.

The Hallmark Channel has a new movie this Saturday, (as usual.) They've finally moved onto their Valentine's Day themed movies.

A new Crossword Puzzle mystery will be on HM&M this Sunday.

Tomorrow's Hallmark movie with Jeremy Jordan looks fun and funny:

On HM&M there is a new Chronicle Mysteries movie with Alison Sweeney.

The When Comes The Heart season premiere is this Sunday on Hallmark.

.

Looks like HM&M is doing 2 new mystery movies a month. :thumbsup2

There is a new Aurora Teagarden movie tonight.

Next Sunday, there will be a new Mystery 101 movie. This one looks good. popcorn:: Travis' ex-wife is appearing. It's actress Erin Cahill, one of Hallmark's regular leading ladies. So, she's not going to be playing some weak, bit part. It should be interesting.

Watched Chasing Waterfalls last night. Enjoyed it. Predictable, but cute. Enjoy both the actress and actor.

Thanks. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. But, the song Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls was stuck in my head after watching the promo for the movie a few times. :music:

I watched the Mystery 101: Killer Timing movie. I thought it was interesting having the ex-wife show up. However, I was surprised that they made her a stronger character than the leading female, Jill Wagner, was. That seemed off-balance. I don't remember her character being such a scardy-cat and so scared for the leading man. She's been shot at before.

A movie I am recommending NOT to watch is Fit For A Prince. In my opinion, the two leads had no chemistry. So, when the prince kept asking out the female lead, it seemed like he kept hitting on her, even after she kept saying no several times. And when she found out he has a girlfriend, (the one that was picked out for him at birth,) and the female lead called him out on it and said he was just a player, yeah, he did seem like a player. :crazy2: It was like he saw a shiny ball and he had to go after it, not that he was really attracted to HER.

The writer also made the female lead as dumb as a box of rocks. Really creative but dumb. And they tried to make her too much like Cinderella, so she was taken advantage of by her boss, and she ALLOWED it. :headache: Why does Hallmark always do that? Females make up their largest demographic, yet they consistently make their female leads LESS THAN, and have some problem instead of STRONG.

The the movie was wrapped up and ended in a really implausible way. :headache: Skip this one.

If you guys watched One Perfect Winter a couple years ago, and the sequel One Perfect Proposal, last year, part 3 is airing tonight: One Perfect Wedding on Hallmark.

The leading man shaved his head!

I wonder if there will be a part 4 as this storyline has TWO couples in it. :scratchin
