Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

I finally got around to watching My Dreams of You. It was cute and well done, and it showcased actors I didn't know. I'd happily watch it and the main cast again.

One of the supporting characters was adorable as she discovered pie. 🥧

I re-watched Miracle in Bethlehem, PA about a single mom named Mary Ann who adopts a newborn girl three days before Christmas. I loved the different storyline and so admire those who adopt both humans and furry friends. It was also wonderful for me to finally see a Christmas movie with faith included.

I also watched a new to me movie called Falling Together that mostly takes place at a condo complex in Pittsburgh. It shares how a new resident Natalie along with the superintendent Mark help bring residents together. I appreciated that an Alzheimer's Walk was featured at the end and that support to end this disease was included in the storyline. My beloved late grandma passed away from dementia.

I did check out Free vee and it looks like it's another site that turns sideways on my Kindle. I will see whether it does that for all movies or just some and can always ignore it. I appreciate so much new movie or streaming site recommendations.

Have a good evening friends!

Ashley Williams had a deeply personal connection and reason for filming "Falling Together".

As was mentioned above, the movie involves the subject of Alzheimer's. Ashley Williams' (and her sister Kimberly Williams-Paisley) mother suffered with and eventually succumbed to Alzheimer's.

Watching this new movie. Lucas Bryant is a cool drink on a long, hot, dusty day. 😍 :drinking1

Smoldering is a great word. Usually, when they cast Lucas Bryant, everybody pretends they don't notice how good looking he is. This one has all the smoldering.

I really liked this one tonight! I thought it had a great script and all the actors did great. :) Every time Kimberly Sustad got near Lucas Bryant, she seemed to lose her breath. :rotfl:It just added to the chemistry and storyline. I'll have to watch this one again!

I liked this one too.

I enjoyed it also! Lucas Bryant is very handsome indeed. He reminded me a bit of Joe Lando from a small TV show back in 2000 called Higher Ground. I just wish faith had been more a focus and also that Lucas' character and the sisters were honest with each other way sooner than they were. Thank you all for the recommendation :)

Junebug is on the Hallmark Channel at 8pm ET/PT.
Starring: Autumn Reeser and Aaron O’Connell.
Description: Juniper, a book editor turning 40, is magically reconnected with an eight-year-old version of herself who questions her life choices, including the dream of writing her own stories.
Just finished watching and thoroughly enjoyed it! 😃🪲📘

I'm trying to finish up watching the some of the non-Christmas movies before Countdown to Christmas starts. I finally got around to seeing Junebug. I resisted it for a long time as the title makes it sound just too cutesy, and possibly lacking substance.

But, the movie is not that at all. It has a great script. The little girl they got to act as a younger version of Autumn Reeser's character did a great job. While she is cute 🥰 she played a really substantial role very well. Autumn & Aaron O'Connell did a great job together. And I love that the two characters are in the arts, and they are growing and changing together. 🥰 I really enjoyed this movie.

My Dreams of You
Starring:
Skyler Samuels and Kapil Talwalkar.
Description: Grace has recurring dreams about a handsome stranger named Michael due to a mix-up in Dream Central. When they finally meet in person, Grace is shocked to learn he has no idea who she is.

I watched My Dreams of You. It's a cute movie. It pretty much has the same plot as The Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon & Emily Blunt. I recommend both movies, the second one more, as it had better actors & writing. Although the movie was more intense. You can probably find it on on some cable stations like TNT or FX.

Nelly Knows Mysteries: A Fatal Engagement,
Season 1, Episode 1

Starring:
Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith.
Description: When advice columnist Nelly finds her childhood friend Dahlia's boyfriend dead, she joins detective Hogan to help find the killer. However, as suspicions creep in, Dahlia becomes a prime suspect.

Ugh! This one gets a hard NO. I suspected as much when I saw they cast Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith. For some reason, Hallmark likes to keep putting these two together, as they are a couple in When Calls the Heart. But, in my opinion, it doesn't mean they always act well together in other movies.

In some previous movies, Kavan was phoning it in. I happened to see Hello, It's Me, a real oldie he did 9 years ago Kellie Martin, and his acting was so different back then. I can barely believe the Kavan now, who is a "HallStar" and clearly resting on his celebrity laurels, is the same actor as the one who worked on that old role as he was new to Hallmark back then. He has gotten better since the shake up with Hallmark the last couple of years. But, still his acting isn't on the same level as his early, better work, in my opinion.

This time, Pascale was the one who was off. She was way overacting and acting annoying and kind of overly "perky" for someone trying to solve a crime. Not someone I want to watch for two hours, let alone a whole series. :headache: There was also this weird music that kept playing, like the producers tried to give this series a campy vibe to it.

I can't believe they replaced Mystery 101 and Crosswords Mysteries with this series and the Jazz Ramsey one with the dog, which really wasn't in it much. 🤷‍♀️

Check the display settings on your Kindle. If there is something called "auto rotate screen" (or similar) with a checkmark or a green switch next to it, uncheck it or slide it to grey, and see if that helps.

(My DH was having a similar problem with an app on his phone, and fixing that setting solved it.)

Thanks, dear PollyannaMom. I will try that :)

I enjoyed watching a movie called The Wedding Chapel. It is a story of a couple, Jeanie and Larry, in love as teens separated by war who reunite and marry (in their 50's I'm guessing). Jeanie's daughter Sarah meanwhile helps savd her hometown church while falling in love with lawyer/town councilman Roger.

I also really loved the message of treating all kindly in Vote One for Love. I would love to vote for Derek, a devoted dad, man of faith, and, caring small town citizen and friend not politician.

Happy October and good movie experiences to all with a hug.

Speaking of taking us somewhere through a movie, I have an idea for the next Biltmore Hallmark movie. I follow Biltmore on Twitter and they posted yesterday that they're harvesting their grapes from their vineyards. Ummm..... HELLO! Biltmore, vineyard, wines.... !!!!
