Or she could have been covering what was a poorly tailored costume. She had a nude bodysuit on that was securely covering any private bits. She didn't "cover" that area at all once the black costume was off.
THIS. Her dance bodysuit was thicker than some leggings I wear, nothing was going to show unless her chest piece slipped.
I'm seeing a lot of folks completely missing the messages of the show. The dancing was extremely culturally relevant for the Latinx/Hispanic population, and also included Middle Eastern and African dance. Certain things within the show were meant to be social/political commentary, and as an artist and dancer I thought they were well executed. Did I love every minute of it? No, nothing is perfect. But I looked at it as a whole picture and message and think it was extremely well done and entertaining to boot.

There was ample opportunity for that part of the show to go terribly wrong. She gets nothing but respect from me.
