half way point from WDW and ft lauderdale?
not sure what area to post so i am going to post on the 2 i most frequent.

we are going to try to get together
with some family from Ft lauderdale...the orignal plan was for them to drive up to WDW and spend a day at the aprks with us, but things have changed and we will need to meet halfway to get to see eachother.
so....what would be about half way betwen the points? preferably oceanside would be great, a beach PERFECT- my daughters and i LOVE the ocean and the beachs in florida :0
what i was lookingat was vero beach, or melbourne beach.....but i cant find any info on either ......we would probly do lunch or dinner and hang by the beach if we can.

hoping someone can fill us in.....being not from that area we have no clue thanks!!!!!

Folks on this board thta can help you with your question::yes:: :wave2:

do you have any info on vero beach ? or somewhere i can find info?

all we basicly want to do is hang out, and eat dinner or lunch......wont be an all day thing since this will most likey be the day before we leave florida :( jsut a short family visit :)

thank you

Tina

Disney has a resort at Vero Beach which is very nice, but it is closed right now due to damage from two hurricanes. Also, the entrances to the pool and beach are gated and you need a room key to access. It is a nice place for lunch though - only 1 1/2 hrs. from WDW.

any more info?

i cant find anything on vero beach resort.......

would like to get some plans / ideas set up since this was not in the orignal plan and is going to end up a whole day.....2 hr driving each way for both familys etc.

thanks!

The entire area between Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando is the area that was really hit hard by both hurricanes. I'd wait and see how things work out for another month or so before making concrete plans. Most of the beaches got so washed awy that you wo'nt be able to use them. The two that you specifically mantioned are actually closed to access by all but local residents with proof of residency right now.
