I had never heard of this. My son would be thrilled to do this. There isnt one near us- But one just opened in DTD!! Will have to check that out next time we are there!
$30 can build a base car, but all the cool accessories are extra. Plus the specialty cars, like Lightning are more expensive ($36). Check out their website to get a better idea. ridemakerz.com.
Thanks! I just bought 2 for our trip next month. We were planning on taking DS5 anyway. DH decided he wants to do one too so I bought one in my name and "gifted" one to DH.
$30 will get you some of the very basic models. Anything other than that is extra. We asked one of the employees there how much the average customer spends and he said $70-$100. Not surprising considering adding the remote control option is $25 and a set of front wheel tires run you $4.
I was excited when I got the email because DH would like one, but the "50% off" only actually applies if you buy the most basic model with nothing added on. Otherwise it is just a $15 off coupon. (Which isn't bad if you plan to buy one anyway, but even with $15 off we can't justify DH spending that much on a toy car.)
It is a daily deals website. Some of the deals are national and some are local. I usually check the deals in the cities near me and then Orlando. It is free to join, you just pay for any Groupons you buy.
I get all sorts of groupons. I use them all the time for restaurants and movies and things like that. For instance my local theater had a groupon for 2 tickets and 2 medium popcorns for $12. Not a bad deal.
