Half Marathon - Marathon Pace Requirements Date

I am very practical so the date they have set doesn't make ANY sense to me. It's a Friday and races are on Saturday. This may not effect a lot of people, but we live in a small town and there is a 10k an hour away on November 2. All others are further away. We will figure this out but it would make sense for the last day to be a Saturday or Sunday.
