So I know this is all a matter of how each family tours the parks but in general, those of you who arrive early (not rope drop but shortly after) and take a mid day break or a half day what time do you normally leave and how much can be accomplished in a half day? In particular MK and Epcot? I have 2 little ones & don't want them to get too overwhelmed.

For us we planned to do a morning in the park, mid day rest and then play it by ear. My (at the time) 18mo old who is generally pretty easy going lasted until lunch time most days. However, two days she totally lost it by 11am and one of us took her back to the hotel where she stayed the rest of the day. She napped every afternoon. I should mention that everyday we were at parks by rope drop. My (at the time) 6 year old is not easy going and easily irritable and doesn't like crowds, but he totally rocked. When baby sister didn't cooperate he stayed at the park with one of us. It was a bummer to divide and conquer, but my husband and I do have special memories with just him at the park. Since we went during a low crowd time, were they by rope drop and had three days planned on MK we easily did all of MK (and multiple things multiple times), we hit all the biggies and want to dos at AK (were baby sister totally melted down by 11) and HS (we left baby sister at hotel with the grandparents), EPCOT was sorta a wasted day as both kids were tired by then. Long story short - if you plan, you can do A LOT before lunch. With young kids you have to be flexible, don't push your kids. :)

Thank you! This was the exact kind of response I was hoping for & thinking may happen with us. I also will have an 18 month old who will need his naps!

We are planning 1/2 day park then enjoying the resort for pool and movie campfires with our 22-month old. I want this to be a vacation :)
