As most of you know me and dd (3 turning 4) will be in DL in less than a month WOOT WOOT.. :cool1:

anyways

Day one (Friday) We will get to the park at approximatly 3:00. We have dinner reservations at 6:00 at Goofys, and want to see the fireworks the first night as well. We will be doing Fantasmic on Saturday:banana:, so wont have time to "devote" to them. We will probably leave after fireworks, depending on how tired DD is.:confused3

What do you suggest as a way to kick off our first day, and DD first trip? We are coming at a time where Im sure lines will suck.. but not much I can do about that and then going to goofys at 6:00.

Thanks for all your guys help :)

Here's what I would do....since you're arriving at the park at 3 and you have rez at 6...give yourself a half hour travel time to get to Goofy's...so it only leaves you about 2.5 hrs. Personally, with a 3 year old, I would see what the one thing is that SHE wants to do and do that! Let her make the first decision! My kids always do better when we don't have long waits for the first few rides of the day. But, if she's a big Tink fan, wait in the line then and get that done...but that's a long wait for the first activity! If she doesn't have anything specific, I'd tackle some of Fantasyland first and try to do Dumbo, merry-go-round, etc. Then, walk up towards Nemo and take the monorail to get to DLH. God forbid the monorail is down, you still have time to walk to DLH if you go quick. You could try Toon Town, but that's a bit out of the way...but my kids have always been able to do most of Toon Town in a short time frame so that could also be a consideration.

Hopefully the crowds will be in your favor!

When we get to the park late we always tend to head to POC. It usually gets us going. The little one's always want to go to FL so we head over there to do the rides with little to no wait. Snow White, Pinnochio, Carousel, and Toad in no particular order. Usually PP ad Dumbo have longer lines this time of day. If we have time to wait the kids always want to ride PP so this is the one we would wait for. For us Tomorrowland has always been busiest this time of day too. So we often head over to Adventureland and ride the JC, IJ, and Tarzan's Tree House. If the wait is short we do Tiki Room. 4 year olds seem to love this. We don't have a plan we just go with which area feels slower paced at that time. You could also catch the train to ride around the park. Whatever characters your daughter loves should be a good indication on where to go first.
You could go to CA park instead and do Bug's Land first, but I know how exciting it is to go to DL first.

Knowing what we know about how much our family loves DCA, we'd go to bug's land in DCA first. Nothing scary, no dark rides, just bright and airy with fun music! An excellent way to kick off a trip, in our opinion.

I second the Bug's Land idea. Our little kids love it and it is a great way to kick off your trip to DLR. Little kids love that they can see the line - it's not dark or scary or "unknown" and therefore easy for them to want to get on the rides.

Heimlich and Flik's flyers are very fun for 4 yr. olds and if she wants to drive bugs (bumper cars) try Tuck and Roll's.

Definitely skip the 3D bug show that they have over there, though. Totally scary for little kids who might be afraid of bugs.

I second the 3D show.....DD last year at 2.5 years was fearless (so I thought)...Haunted Mansion, Pirates all fine. But the 3D Bug show.....DH carried her out SCREAMING! We won't go this year (next week!) unless she insists and we will sit on the exit side. But I won't try to convince her to go by any means.

Heck, my 7 year old was covering her eyes!

I'd say Dumbo!! We just went in June for my just turned 2 daughter's first visit and that's what we did first. She loved loved loved it!!! Got her really excited to ride other things. I kinda wanted to start her out on something classic. We then rode the tea cups then horseys as she calls them and went from there.

You are gonna have so much fun!! We did. My daugher still asks to go to DL every single day.
