Half.com Help Please???

I have no idea how this works - just saw another posting about this. I looked on this site and it showed paperback books for .75 - is this what it sells for or do people bid on it? I have a lot of basic trashy books - danielle steele, Sandra Brown - stuff like that. Is there anyway to make money on these? Thank you for your help.

On half.com the price listed is what it sells for, there is no bidding involved. When many copies of a book are for sale, I will list mine at a penny or two cheaper so that I make the sale first but you have to be willing to part with your book for $.50 if that's what it takes.

If you sell a book for only .50 you have to still pay half.com and go to the post office to send it out right? do you think that this is worth it???

I'm a big half.com buyer. I don't think it would be worth it to sell for .50, but I'm sure glad there are those who do!!!!!
I would see what a typical book would cost to mail, then just buy a bunch of stamps, stick it in a envelop and mail from the house. Read the info on mailing, they do reimburse you for the costs.
They are also changing their site and combining it more with eBay, so be aware of that.

if you go to mycoupons.com they have a garage sale site where you can list the books for a $1 or something and then list all the books. Maybe people will buy more then one that way. There is no charges and it's totally free to use. Also when shipping check if you can use media mail since it's books, which is cheaper then normal mail.

Or you can just put them all together in a huge lot and start the bidding at a certain price and sell them all at once. Maybe used book stores would buy them off ebay or check if you have a used book store near you who would buy them.
