Really sorry to be a pain about all this halfboard thing. I thought I had it all sorted with the HB plus vouchers, but really tempted to upgrade now.

After reading Joolz' post about the Auberge, it's got me wondering what is the face value of the premium hb vouchers (in €)? I find it amazing that you need 2 HB plus vouchers to cover a meal at the Auberge (per person), but one HB premium will totally cover it

How much are the HB premium vouchers per adult/child per night (in £s)?

Also can anyone tell me who I would phone to upgrade? Would it be the UK number for reservations? Or a different one?

Oh and also forgot to ask. Someone mentioned a meal at Cafe Mickey's not using all the HB premium vouchers. If we booked a meal for us all at Cafe Mickey (2 adults, 2 kids and an infant) and we only needed 2 adult and 1 kids voucher to pay for it, would we be able to spend the other kids voucher elsewhere? I was under the impression that if you were using vouchers you had to use them for everyone in the party? Or is that just the case when buying them and you don't need to use them all together?

You ring the UK number to upgrade to HB.

For me and Kyra for 3 nights stay our HB prem vouchers cost me £126.

The face value of premium voucher is 44 euros/15 euros for adults/kids.

The cost of the premium vouchers for us (2 adults/2 kids, for 3 nights) was around the £250 mark. Just the meal at California Grill for us was around 150 euros (and that didn't include wine) and Inventions was about the same. So we definitely ate our money's worth there:thumbsup2

Thanks. That means if I've worked it out right that it will cost an extra £160 for the 4 of us for the 5 nights. Sounds like a lot but I think it could be worth it.

Can you upgrade any time before you leave? We go on Sunday morning, so if I decide Saturday night to upgrade, can it still be done?

I think it might be better to let them know sooner than that. They'd have to print the vouchers off to be handed over to you on Sunday.

I believe it is £31 / £11

Great stuff, thanks a lot :)

Wow, didn't realise they were worth as much as that! That would give us €118 per day worth of food  I just wish you could split it between lunch and dinner. I definitely think it's worth it, but I'm finding it very hard to convince myself to part with another £160 before we even leave :rotfl: :scared:

OK hopefully last few questions: If you get HB premium vouchers can you eat at less expensive restaurants and use less vouchers?

Meaning, if one day we had the tea party, used an adult and child voucher and paid any extra that there may be (for 4 of us), could we then use the remaining adult and child voucher for a take away meal from Anettes that night?
