Half Board Plus

I've not had these vouchers for a number of years as we've saved quite a bit using our shareholders card. I don't have enough shares just now to renew and it runs out just before our trip. So I'm looking at options and need some help please:

Buying more shares would cost approx cost £250.00 to get 15% discount.

Pay our meals cash as we go - I've worked out that without any discounts we'll spend approx 550E on table service meals for 4 nights (we are 4 adults and 1 child) Some of this calculation doesn't include drinks. If we have shareholders discount we'd save approx 80E

We plan to eat at the following:
Annettes
Walts
Parkside Diner or Cafe Mickey
Bistro Chez Remy

These are all included on the half board plus meal plan (not 100% sure about Chez Remy yet) which would cost us £500.00, including a drink each.

Am I missing something or does the half board plus plan look like a good option

Also - deal breaker would be if we couldn't use these at face value - not keen on some of the set menu options.

i'm sorry, i don't understand - why would you want to use them at face value? i mean, what would be the point of using them at face value, compared to just ordering what you like at the restaurants (especially the table service ones if you wouldn't do 3 courses as per the half board plus set menu) and paying the bill with your own money?

Unless you are using the set menus, or would eat 3 courses at a table service restaurant, I personally still don't see that the half board plans save you any money. If you only do buffets on the half board plus section they might.
