Does anyone know the value of the half board plus vouchers? We understood it was £17 for an adult but have seen a brochure saying they are worth £22 per adult. Can anyone help?

We paid approx £150 for 4 nights, 2 adults 1 child. Haven't worked out how much that is each!

Just paid £150 for 3 nights = £17 per adult and £8 per child. Julie x

Oops 2 adults 2 children!

Thanks for that. We paid £150 for 3nts too - 2 ads 2 children but seeing that other price kind of threw us. We can always rely on someone here to help us. Thanks again :thumbsup2

For half board plus ours were £17 each per adult and £8 per child. All the menu's we ate from were either 28 or 32 euros. We exchanged one voucher and paid the rest to eat at cafe mickey but i cant remember how much it was worth.

:cool1: We are going next sunday and have purchased half board plus voucher which cost £16 per adult and £7 per child, but i think these go up by £1 at the end of march:hippie:
Hope they are worth it but it does mean that one large spending area is taken care of and with 3 children and two adults that is a big expenditure. :scared1:

We did Half Board last trip. We would NEVER do them again. You get a limited menu. Out of the 4 day trip we only spent more that the vouches on one meal. The rest of the time it would have bean cheaper to pay cash. My advice for what it is worth, is NO, NO and NO.

that's interesting, yours is the first very negative post so far on these boards that I've noticed.

Did you not like the choices on the limited menu? Or did you not like the concept of being limited? Was there an option to pay extra to have something off the "other" menu?

Were there enough options of dining places to go?

The vouchers include a starter, main dish, dessert, and beverage. When paying cash a la carte, not everyone would choose to have all of these options. For example it would be cheaper to just have the main dish and a beverage. Is this what you mean when you say it would be cheaper?

Or if you purchased all of the items seperately, it somehow would have been cheaper?

I am really considering these vouchers so I want as much info as I can get!

The limited menu was very limited in dead. Most of the restraints would except the vouchers. You could use the vouchers as part payment. What I mean by being cheaper is that if we got the same menu items and paid cash, it would bean bean cheaper.

I think you can use one voucher for the Lucky Nugget character meal, which costs 30 euros.....but I'm not sure of the exchange rate at the moment....

You can use them for Lucky Nuggett :thumbsup2

I find it surprisng you say you could have bought meals cheaper than the vouchers as the official site say it works out 15% cheaper than buying meals at the time.:confused3

I suppose everyone will have a different view but for us on paper it seems cheaper and a least budgeting has helped. I will have more comparison once we use them next week but already from when we went last time we have made savings on food costs.

Perhaps it depends where you choose to eat and what food you like as to whether you are happy with your cost comparisons.
