Hiya :wave2:

Not sure about March as I have never been then, re half board vouchers though you have to order them before you go, and buy them for everyone in your party for the length of your stay. You can only buy them if you are staying onsite.

Hope this helps a little, one of the more knowledgeable DISers will be along to help shortly I am sure! :goodvibes

ps the boards are great aren't they!!

Hi !

March 16th is a monday this year, isn't it ? So It should be quiet as there's no holidays at this time in France, but you can still use Fast-pass for BTM or SM !

Are you visiting for only one day ? Disneyland Park or Walt Disney Studios ?

Not to sound dumb but what is a half-board?

Not a dumb question!

Half Board are vouchers that you use for payment for lunch or dinner at a vareity of restuarants in the Disney Hotels, Parks or the Disney Village. By pre-purchasing these meals it is possible to save 15% (although many say the save more)

There are 3 types:

Half Board Standard (£13/7): Valid in 7 Restuarants

Half Board Plus (£17/8): Vailid in 16 Restuarants

Half Board Premium (£31/12): Valid in all table service and buffet restuarants throught.

Half Board can only be purchased if staying on site and must be bought for every member of your party for every night that you are staying at DLRP.

I had HB for my trip this weekend and we used them in the Cheyenne Buffet so it cost me £26 instead of 38 euros!! That's a great saving with the current exchange rate!!

Hi,

Half board meal plans are available for all onsite hotel guests.
If you have a brochure, the half board meal plans are covered very well in those.
There are 3 levels of meal plans, standard, plus and premium. You pay per member of your party, per nights stay booked at your onsite hotel.
You need to pay for these in advance, but you can leave it up til 2 or 3 days before you check in to do this.

Because of the poor euro/pound exchange rate, half board plans mean a really good saving on your meal prices, if you would normally have at least one table service meal per day (either lunch or dinner) during your stay.

Another member here recently posted a very good link to give you some idea on the half board options -

thanks everyone, specially cap!!!

i don't have a brochure, but just to understand this correctly, because i am staying a week i need to buy vouchers for everyday? i guess it is good value.

i live in malta, so we already use euros so no conversion. but how do i order them in advance?

thanks a lot:cheer2: :cheer2:

thanks for that link elaine, i printed it.....

looks like the plus package is good value....

the price is in sterling???

where do i buy them since i am not from the uk.....

thanks again everyone......:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: ::cop:

I went in March two years ago and it was very quiet however I wouldn't like to guess now as DLRP seems to have gotten more popular since then. :)

If you have booked direct with Disney then just give them a call and they can help you add the HB Vouchers to your booking.

I can't find a number from Malta but the 'Other Countries' number is 33 (01) 60 30 60 53

We often go in March and find it manageable, we leave on the 16th March, the only thing that might affect park numbers is that the St. Patrick's Day celebrations are being held on the 17th, but on the plus side you will hopefully have fireworks that evening and longer park hours. :thumbsup2

hey thats fantastic!!! you are from the bronx??? i am originally from detroit...but live in malta now.....how long are you staying? where are you staying??

Not from the Bronx originally, but I've been here nearly 15 years (last place I lived was Atlanta for 11 years, but I wasn't born there either!)

We're checking out on the 22nd and staying at the Disneyland Hotel. We figure we may not get back to DLP for another decade or two, so we'd go ahead an go for the top of the line. I've heard we won't be sorry. :) Where are you staying?

I know this is O/T but how does someone from Detroit end up in Malta?? How exotic it seems...

we are going from 16 to 22 and staying at santa fe...... my parents are maltese!!

thats how we got here......
