It was hard to believe that our trip was coming quickly to an end. It was Sunday and our last day at the Parks. The girls decided they wanted to go back to the MK and MGM for their last day.
We did one final blitz of the MK arriving for EE opening. Again, very light crowds and we did Tommorowland Speedway, Space Mountain, Peter Pan and Mickeys Philharmagic before 9:00. From there we went to Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain and since the wait was only 5 minutes the girls went back on Splash Mountain again while I sauntered over to the Christmas shop in Liberty Square. While I was over there I called to make PS over at MGM for 2:00 at the SciFi. The girls met me and we did Pirates and the Haunted Mansion again. Made a quick stop for a Mickey ice cream sandwich and some cinnamon toasted almonds and then rode the train over to Mickeys Toontown so we could do Space Mountain one more time before we left. After another trip on the TTA we said farewell to the Magic Kingdom for this trip.
We arrived at MGM just after 1:00 and since the lines were short we were able to do TofT and RR twice each before lunch.
We had that timed perfectly because the minute we walked into the Sci Fi, the skies opened up and it poured. We each just had the kids burger, which was more than enough food, and it was quite tasty. By the time we had finished lunch the skies had cleared and the sun was out.
Time for more ride on RR and TofT before we made our way back to AKL.
Tonight we decided we were going to have a sunset dinner on our balcony. We picked up Caesar salad and desserts from Mara. The actually sell little packages of Zebra domes and brownies there. I also picked up one of those little bottles of red wine for myself.
I then went to the bar at Jiko and ordered some flatbreads to go. They actually packed up some plates, cutlery, and linen napkins for us to use as well.
Back on the balcony we had our little table on the balcony covered with our ALK towel as a tablecloth and we put on the Wishes soundtrack softly in the room as background music.
It was like the animals came our right on queue at sunset to make our dinner even more special. The giraffes were closer than ever before, the Tommies were chasing each other about, and the mom, dad and baby ankole cattle were grazing right in front of the balcony. It was the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen and we all agreed it was our favorite meal of the entire trip! It was a perfect evening full of pixie dust.
