Hakuna Matata Team Challenge Hours/Miles

just stirring the pot a bit.:stir: Since I plan on taking Thursday February 14, off to prepare a nice dinner for my honey, I wonder if I could kill 2 birds with one stone. Rather than having an hour on the treadmill, could we swap some other form of “activity” for that night? You know (wink wink) :rolleyes1 something that would be……….oh never mind, I think I”ll just skip that night and have an “off” night….

denise

ROTFLMAO :rotfl2:!!!! That was so cute Denise, and you know, you bring up a good point! That "other form of activity" certainly is a cardio and/or fat-burning process; however, I never kiss and tell

Panda...Hope your achillies is better soon!

Hi guys. I'm having to take a few rest days here. My achillies is still bothering me a lot since the Goofy. It's not getting any better with me trying to get some training in. So I'm going to rest till it's really better.

Thank you in advance for covering for me with good miles and hours. I promise to get my backside in motion as soon as I can do it without pain.

I woke to ice covered roads this morning so I couldn't even go top the pool for some cross training

You guys rock:banana:

Go Team Hakuna Matata

Just checking in, it is still windy here. I braved 20 mph winds yesterday to get the dinghy dogs out. I may have to do the same today. Sun is out now, but not supposed to stay out very long. I will get out this morning when the wind is only in the teens, instead of waiting for warmer temps, but stronger winds.

Dave, take care of your ankle.

Good job everyone! Have an active day:yay:

Good morning everyone! I've been adding a short walk to my daily routine. It probably won't make a huge difference in my weekly totals but it is nice to get out for a bit during the day!

I think I might have talked my DFi into the half-marathon! :thumbsup2 He's still thinking about it but I might just go ahead and register him next week and then he'll have to do it. He was worried about running it but I told him that he can walk it.

Dave - Take good care of yourself!

Lynn - I was out on the weekend and it was super windy here. The winds made the one minute walk from the grocery store to my car feel like 15! Bundle up and stay warm :goodvibes

Wellit stayed nice and I got out a little early adn went for a nice long run, it was 57 degrees, nice...... the wind did pick up a little on the last long stretch home.

Keep it a going kiddies. we are doing great.

Did 7.8 miles on the recumbent bike today - it took 32 minutes. Tomorrow, I think I'll brave the treadmill :goodvibes

Rehab is so important, Panda, take the time for it, ya hear?!

Oh, poor panda and poor panda's paw! You just take care of yourself because we all want you to be healthy & happy! In the meantime, you can keep busy running around to all the other team threads and offering your special brand of encouragement! That'll work up a sweat.

And Hakuna Matata--you all rock! :cheer2:

Dang Scott it's warmer up there at the north pole than it is here in Southern Ky.

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I promise 50 mile weeks soon as I can walk without any pain.

GO TEAM!!!

Hi, everybody!

Just because I'm not posting, that doesn't mean I'm not working out! I did 50 minutes and 3.3 miles on the TM on Monday, an hour of water aerobics and an hour of yoga on Tuesday. Today is my rest day, but it was nice enough to walk to the dr's office where I weigh and back to work, about 30 minutes. Tomorrow is TM and yoga again. You'd think with all this working out, I'd lose some weight, but NO!!!! :confused3 I'm not giving up, though, because I know my body will just HAVE to give up some of this fat pretty soon! LOL! I'd really like to lose 10 pounds before the OKC half at the end of April. I really don't want my knees and hips to carry those extra pounds all those miles!

Dave, I'm sorry your tendon isn't healing more quickly. It's frustrating, I'm sure, but I think giving your body time to heal is a good idea.

Lisa, congrats on your half! You are doing great!

Stephanie, Diane, Kim and anyone else I've missed who's been sick - sounds like you're all on the mend. Don't rush back into exercising too much too fast - your bodies need time to finish healing, too!

Scott and Lynn - I feel your pain....and your wind! LOL! We're supposed to get snow tonight. And tomorrow. I'm beginning to think it's never ending! But surely it MUST end sometime!!!!

Everyone, keep up the good work!

Good Morning Everyone

Happy V Day:love:

Did 3 miles last night on the TM before it gave out so I just stopped for the night. Felt really good last night afterwards.

Dave; Mark and I are off to our local Lens Crafters tonight. We both need new glasses and I want to try the new contact lenses with built in readers. We'll see. Then we're suppose to go out to dinner - with the rest of the world. So probably no miles tonight.

Have a romantic day all, spend it with someone you love!

Denise, please find the PM I sent you.

I'm having a hard time getting going this morning, come on team I need a kick start. It's not supposed to be this darn cold in the south. I guess I'll head over to the gym and see what I can find to do that doesn't envolve my left foot and to many motor skills.

Have an awesome day team.

I like to think of Valentine's day as healthy heart day! Everyone in your life should be working to have one! To that end, I am working out!!! Hugs and kisses to all!
