(plus 1/2 mile warm-up/down, but I don't count those numbers in my milage).
I am, on average, running a 12.30 minute mile. Not bad for never doing any kind of distance run and to be honest I am just going for distance and not speed.
you raced and got hardware, cool

Hi Cobbler, we have a player on the Super Goofs, Princessrunner who is from Maine also.

My Dh is currently stationed in Baghdad. I'll be praying for your son and your family as you go through this separation again. Hugs to you all.DH and I are leaving Thursday to go visit our son and his family in Tennessee before our son is re-deployed to Iraq.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all our troops.
Didn't finish the drywall as I got called out for work, the OT will help pay for the materials.
We made 43 trips up and down the stairs so that would be 40 plus floors. Can we count that. LOL

But of course master builder. Steps is steps.

I try very hard not to speak about the weather here in Florida, as I realize that many of you across the country are facing unbearable conditions. But I just have to say that today's weather with 25-mile gust winds was one of my toughest 6-miles run that I have endured in quite some time. There were times where the wind shoved me without having the ability to defend myself left me feeling like a bag of empty Doritos whipped around to and fro. The only amusement about this mornings run was watching the seagulls fly into the wind, getting absolutely nowhere in their flight.

I was not very fast at all, averaging only 3.6 mph, but it was quite a nice walk. I am beginning to think I will not ever be walking fast again, but mostly I am fine with that. I am still out there walking! Connie will be leaving me in the dust in OKC next month! Speaking of Connie, Woo-hoo!
She got a silver in her 5k on Saturday! You go, girl!
And her granddaughter got a gold! What fun!
and my car all cleaned up, ready for our trip, in spite of having two of our grandsons over the weekend. Thank goodness for my DH, who is always great about pitching in with whatever needs done, from diaper changing to vacuuming!
It also looks like it may be snowing for the St. Patricks 5K we are doing Sat. in Ft. Collins. Welcome to spring in the West!
