Hakuna Matata, NO Fooling it's April!!

Hi Team! Just came back from my run - I did the entire 4 miles continuously at a 10:45 m/m pace! Woo-hoo! Wish I had brought my gloves with me because it wasn't as warm as I had thought.

Only one film ... :3dglasses:headache: Hmm... I'll probably go with the Fox and the Hound. I love animation because I use to do voice over work :)

Some of my other favourite movies - Wall-E, Ratatouille, Toy Story 1&2, Casablanca, Gone With the Wind, AI, Life or Something Like It, Harold and Kumar, The Life Aquatic, Run Lola Run...

My favourite movie snack is popcorn with lots of butter! Even better when it's layered! Tons of calories though :( So I will usually get a frozen yogurt instead or if I'm at home, we'll make low fat popcorn. I do love peanut M&Ms and Clodhoppers ... again tons of calories but isn't that why we run and walk lots! :goodvibes

I've never seen the Monty Python before but seeing how it's popped up here so many times, I will have to check it out :)

Ok, I'm going to give my yoga DVD a shot. I think I'm missing some of the props so we'll see how it goes.

Have a great night everyone!

Hey Gang! What an eclectic group, so many great movies.... runs the gamut of the classics, sci-fi, comedy, westerns, war, and animation.
My Island favorite would have to be Casablanca, it had it all, intrigue, suspense, romance, music, classy women (Ingrid Bergman ~now there are some legs!), some comedy, gun play, and of course, Humphrey Bogart. The hats and suits were so Kewl...... if only we could pull off wearing them nowadays. :cool2:
(Note to self; get Monty Python)
Food would have to be the Popcorn Bucket (we're on an island so refills would be tough) with a coke and one Hershey kiss for when you finish the popcorn.

Vicky-Great time!

Jack

Good Evening Team!

I prefer my popcorn buttered and will M&M's mixed in (chocolate goes really good with buttered popcorn!) I'm not even going to try to pick one movie, it would either be a Disney - Lion King or Beauty and the Beast or Lilo and Stitch, or a classic like Casablanca or Hatari. I can watch those over and over again!

Weather has been decent, most of the snow from the weekend has melted - leaving a few drifts still. It is supposed to snow or rain tonight, but not much. I did get the dogs out for a 6 mile walk today, then got downstairs and did a leg routine - my knee is now really killing me, but hopefully it will feel better tomorrow for the activity.

Have a great evening everyone!

Hey everyone! I know I am REALLY late to the party. But I will do something that I very rarely do. I will make this short and sweet and allow you to return to your programming as necessary.

My favorite movie is actually a made for HBO mini-series called "From The Earth to the Moon". I can literally watch that every single night! Love it!

Hope everyone is doing fantastic and having a good week.

Bryan:thumbsup2

I love a movie that leaves me worn out from watching it. I like to feel like I've been through it with the actors. The Indiana Jones movies are like that. When I was a boy movies were magic, it was a journey to another world.

I love sharing a large popcorn with my princess, her snuggled against my shoulder and the hot popcorn is a little slice of heaven.

Earth to Moon, was very good, one section, episode they use the music from The Great Escape.LOL... don't think many folks caught that one.

Almost typed Happy Friday. Well it is kinda! Happy Thursday Team!

Sorry I'm late to the party. Who can just pick one movie?.....in no particular order.....
Westside Story, Rebel Without a Cause, The Graduate, Passage to India, The Apartment, Best Years of Our Lives.
My all time guilty pleasure movie is Dirty Dancing.

Have a great day....Sue

Vicky, That's cool that you did voice over work. Any chance we'd know your voice from anything?

Sue, If Dirty Dancing is your favorite you NEED to see the stage version. I know it's in Toronto and it's getting ready to open on Broadway. I saw the pre-Broadway tryout in Boston and it was awesome.

As for me, I ran 4 miles in 31 minutes (7:45 pace) and did a 45 minute Zumba class.
Now off to church for Maundy Thursday.

Best,
Jennifer

Hi TEAM!:wave2:

I think I have missed a bunch :confused3

Movies – I know it’s pathetic but I don’t see many, but if it is funny (not making fun of) I would enjoy…Love the popcorn. :upsidedow

Finally went to the doctor today-acute sinus infection. Antibiotics – just maybe I will finally start feeling better!

Connie-I know lots is happening at your house, hang in there! :grouphug:

DD made our hotel reservations for the Crim, Brooksie’s Way, and the Detroit Free Press Half Marathons today – that gets me through October. :upsidedow

I hope I'm not to late for the movies

My favorites that I watch All the time

Back to the Future 1`&3 2 is not a favorite
Jaws

One that I probably would pick for the Epic of it Gone with the Wind. I did see that in a theater when Mark and I were first married for $2. It was amazing. Big screen sure did make a difference.

Favorite snack, popcorn, pepsi.

Hi guys.

Denise, I remember going to the movie on the base in Japan as a kid and the movie was a guarter, large popcorn and a large drink were a dime each. I wanted to be Hercules or Tarzan.

I miss the big theaters and drive ins with the double feature Si Fi movies.

There are several people on the boards whose life story would make a wonderful movie.

Have a restful evening y'all.

Morning Kids, Light snow fell last night and we have fog this morn,

I have meetings today in an effort to save an unfilled position here at my office. I hope to get out early but whenever I think that it never happens.

Have a great day and a great weekend... Hope the Easter Bunny is good to you all and brings you carrots , which are a whole lot better that too much candy..

Well I had an interesting training walk this morning. It was threatening storms but I was soooooo tired of the treadmill that I went for my 8 miler anyway. I made it for 6.5 miles before the storm hit and so the last mile and a half was high wind and hard rain. This was my hill route so the wind was extra interesting on the uphill portions. Total time was 1 hr 45 min and 24 sec.

Have a super weekend team.

Hello all,
Today was a rest day. Went to church, then lunch, and now am off to see the Hannah Montana movie.

Best,
Jennifer

Hi Team! Fridays are my rest day so it was nice to have it off from work and just relax! Is Good Friday a holiday in the US - I remember when a friend of mine worked in Chicago a couple of years ago, he told me it wasn't an official holiday but lots of people got it off.

I registered for a 10K at the end of the month (April 26). It was pretty cheap $25 and they give you breakfast and lunch and a t-shirt :) It's also around the corner from my house so it will be easy to get to. I don't think it will be officially timed with chips and such.

Jack - Thanks! I managed to do 1 mile yesterday evening at 9:30 m/m! I was really excited about that but I'm just really happy to be able to run continuously again! One of these days I'll make it through an entire 1/2 marathon without walking!

Jennifer - Most of the stuff I did was for anime cartoons that were shown overseas in Japan and Hong Kong. Unfortunately, I never did bother to ask for copies of anything :( It was one of the best jobs I ever had!

Denise - The price of snacks at theatres is really crazy! You'd think that it would be enough to stop me from buying but unfortunately it's not much of a deterrent.

Dave - That was some walk! I'm usually a pretty big wimp when it comes to rain. If I think it's raining hard enough to soak my shoes, I won't go out. There's a drive-in theatre in downtown Toronto when you come in May. Unfortunately, I don't think it's very close to Kim/Mike.

Margie - Hope you feel better soon! Sounds like you've got quite a few races lined up for the Fall! Is your DD doing them with you?

Scott - Sorry to hear about the snow! Hope you didn't have to work too late today!

Sue - I forgot about Dirty Dancing! I remember I bought the cassette tape when I was younger and use to drive my parents nuts singing along :)

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Just on from a 5k at 10:51 pace, cold adn cloudy, temp 28.

Maybe some woodworking, room unpacking or serious Wii action. Need to shop fro Easter dinner.

Have a great day and a wonderful Easter.

Vicky, Good Friday isn't a government holiday in the US, but lots of people/businesses/schools have it off either officially or as an "inclement weather" day or the like.

As for me, 5 miles in just under 39 minutes this morning (7:45 pace). Sadly it's back to April showers round here.

Jennifer

Hi Team! Just back from my 3 miler - managed to average a 9:55 m/m pace! I think I was partially channeling Jennifer :) I had planned to do my 8 miler today but my GPS watch was low on batteries and I wasn't sure if it would have made it the whole way. What did we ever do before Garmins

Looks like it's going to be a nice day - warmish weather and lots of sun!

Jennifer - We have some funny holidays like that too. Our Rememberance Day in November is kind of like that - only government workers and banks (not me though) get it but everyone else has to go to work.

Have a great day everyone!
