Hakuna Matata, NO Fooling it's April!!

Hello team!

I did not get to the gym yesterday morning. I had forgotten to put my running clothes in the dryer the night before. :headache: Jordan and I went last night after work. We got 3 miles done in 33 minutes...and given last nights run I think he will run a 5K with me on Sunday! We took this orning off since we went so late last night.

So...for my news....I may applying for a different position here at work. It would be nights and 4 days a week. I would still have Sundays off with Jordan, but we would lose 3 nights out of the week together and about 3 hours of our Saturdays. The position comes with a $7 an hour raise...which we really do need. And I could use that extra day off a week and morning time to work on the real estate stuff. I'm not 100% yet on it, but it's looking like I should do it. We have been struggling with bills and it seems as if we haven't had money to "live"...and we do like to "live". Eating out and the movies are a couple of the things we love...lately we just can't afford even that! Sooo...$7 more an hour woulnd't hurt!

Vivky - I havne't gotten Chop to the dog whisperer yet. Jordan's job has been rocky lately with some Union dealings so we haven't been spending any morney on anything. Poor Chop has been fine since his infection cleared up though! And the puppy's puncture hole on her face was tiny...she's fine too! :o)

Oopss...gotta get back to work...

Hi guys!

Got my last run before the race in. I did 5k in 23.5 minutes (7:37 pace).

I did kick-boxing last night and will go to Zumba and Pilates tonight.

I'm soooo ready for my race on Sunday!

Best,
Jennifer

Good morning Hakuna Matata!

Wow, can you believe it's the last day of April Already???? Times and miles are pouring in!!! Aren't they??? :thumbsup2

Jen! What a great time on the 5K. You are my hero!

Vicky and Jen, I only ended up doing 7.5 miles in the marathon diverted relay! Oh well. We did most of it! We only missed 2.9 miles! I think that race directors and sign planters and others who "mark" courses should keep in mind that small signs that come up to about the calf area are very difficult to even FIND on a crowded course! Signs need to be at least 5 foot high AND point so that they face the participants and not the sidelines! Not to mention the volunteers KNOWING what they are doing! Oh well. My bad. WE still had a great time and now my entire family wants to race! LOL

I am looking at doing White Rock in Dallas in December...or maybe I will do Tulsa in November. Guess I need to check around.

Jack what was the REAL reason they spent that kind of money and did a really stupid stunt?? I have a hard time believing it was just a photo op. I am pretty sure that it falls under hate speech and attempted acts of terrorism.

I had a great workout yesterday. I filled, stacked on the belt at the cash register, loaded into my pickup and unloaded and put away 41 gallons of water and 3 FULL grocery carts of groceries. Took me an hour and half to just off load the groceries. I think this is both aerobic and weight resistance!

Margie - Yes, not only did I buy mostly healthy items and plenty of the groceries necessary for scratch cooking, but I spent less! :cloud9:

Okay, I'm outta here! See ya Connie

Hello Team.

Connie dear you don't screw around when you do the marketing. I go to the market several times a week, usually on the way home from the gym or park where I've been working out. The people at the market don't think I own any real clothes and I have terminal workout hair, I'm sure. Except for the checker at the express checkout that knows I workout everyday. By the way Erica delivered her baby 10 years ago so we have a special bond.

Erica's total for the month are 2.5 hours and 10 miles of walking. She just started back working out this week. She has the Toronto half at the end of the month so time to get wiggling. I took her for an hour monday and and hour and a half on Tues. Next week I'll take her for an hour on monday and 2 hours on tues. I know this sounds like weird training but she has a coach. She has been working 4 days a week 12 hr shifts and on her feet most of the time up and down the halls checking on patients and doing her treatments. So she hasn't exactly been sitting on the couch.

My totals for the week are 181 miles and 270 hours of total workout. I will be able to workout outside more now so my totals will increase this coming month.

Jack, that was me on the ladder, I was grabbing a baby seal and running back up to the Huey. Ok, well maybe not but I would.

Jennifer, your speedy. Now that my achillies is pretty much healed I may add a little running for crosstraining. Be interesting to see how racewalking and running help training for each sport since they use some different muscles.

Eva, Margie, Sue, Lynn, Mary, and all the princesses:hug:

Vicky we will see you in a month, :flower3:

Scott I wanna come and have a drink and some good fellowship at your new Tiki and Adventurer hideaway. I think we both as well as most on here qualify as adventurers.

Have an awesome day y'all.

I know that we should be on May but I wanted to post.

This month has been bad, at least the last 2 weeks. I have been having trouble with my shoulder blades which radiates up to my neck and head. Basically I go to work come home and crash. The massage helped a bit but did not get rid of it. So my totals for the month are not great but Miranda, Mark and I did manage 4 miles last night.. She can't powerwalk because of the baby but we were not just strolling either. I think it was good for all of us to take it easy. I do feel better this morning so I may go out again this weekend for just an easy 5 miles to build back up my endurance.

I do read a lot of your posts and see what everyone is doing. I also keep up with some via facebook and twitter, I am around just not posting that much. Again that whole crash thing at home..........zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Will PM my totals to Connie, it's friday at last! Have a good one.

Here I am!

I am running on slow with my cold. But a new one is coming up, right now.....

Okay, time to 'fess up. I haven't been keeping track of my times/miles this month like I should. Will try to do better next month. At least I'll get off to a good start as we head to Indy this afternoon for the mini Marathon tomorrow. DH is doing it with me, but we will not stay together. I only slow him down. So, we will meet up somewhere after the finish line. My SIL is also doing the mini. He can finish in 1:30. I told him he would have time to go home, take a shower, get a bite to eat, and come back and he'd still be waiting for me at the finish!;)

Have a great weekend everyone!
