Hakuna Matata - Marching in like Lions!

Good Evening Team!

Just enjoying a few minutes of surfing while DH is cooking a fantastic Prime Rib dinner.:thumbsup2

Got out this morning early for 5 before the rain. It's been a yucky day.

Mike, We don't rent movies. Never any time. On tonight's playlist, The Hurt Locker & The Hangover. I report back on what I thought about it. Usually Saturday night is family movie night. ie Disney.

Margie, No babysitting on the weekend?

Lynn/ Scott, Enjoy MP. Sounds enjoyable.

Sue

Good Morning Team! :wave2:

It looks like more rain today, cooler with a high of 48°, partly sunny, so it will be nicer!

Where is everyone – they say we should not sleep in today, as it is not good for the body clock!

Starting to snow now, rolling in from teh west.

Kirsty, How'd Miami go?

Margie, I'm still deciding. I'm not thinking too hard about it until after my full this weekend.

Yesterday did 6.2 in 53 minutes then went to see Alice in Wonderland (so AMAZING) with dbf. Then dinner. Getting ready to go on last long run before marathon.

Best,
Jennifer

Hey guys!! I know it's been forever since I've posted. Last night I got 5 hours of sleep but woke up thinking I got 6 because of the time change. Well, I drank some coffee and woke up and now my little guy is back asleep, but I'm wide awake. So I have some time to get in here! It's hard to believe, but DS is 5 weeks old now! Labor was hard and didn't go as planned (my epidural didn't work and I was on pitocin for 16 hours), but delivery was easier than I thought it would be (only 30 minutes). My dad says I was able to deliver easy because of my running! Anyhow...Gage and I came out of the whole thing happy, healthy and safe! I might go out today for the first time for a run and I hope to get back in enough shape to do a 10K in May. I hope everyone here is doing good. I keep up with those of you on facebook...it's it so easy from my phone. I'll try to get in here more now that I'm cleared for running. I miss you guys!! Here's a pic of the little guy...oh, and he was even born with a Hidden Mickey on his forehead (you can see it in the second pic)...

:grouphug: to Margie, Sue, Scott, Lynn, Jennifer, Dave, Vicky, Connie...all of my old teammates!!

Eva I love the hidden Mickey!!!
When will Gage be making his first visit to WDW??

Jennifer I saw my self at the start line and they put my name up saying that I was the womens winner.
My Dh thinks he saw me again, I need to watch it in slow mo as I want to see if I can see my friend.
They did not show the awards, I'm not surprized though consdiering they did not have ours there......infact i'm still waiting!!!:sad2:

Scott Glad you liked MP, when we saw it several years ago we hated it. It was too different for the movie for us.

Margie You have to have comcast to get CSS, not a problem aroud here as it the only cable we can get.

Mike Congrats on you workout, but please take it easy, you can make yourself a lot worse by working out with a cold, I know I've done it.

We went out yesterday to find a hill.......it took us an hours drive!!!!:scared1:
I've been told that heartbreak hill in boston is 5% so I wanted to practice going up one.
We found one that goes between 5-8%, i'm going to have to move like a rocket on the flat parts to try to make up the time i'm going to lose on the hills.
I did 4 runs up and my speed went between 2-4.5 mph.:sad2:
I'm hoping to get out there a cople of times a week, the problem is that it is not our usual training aera so we will have to go and explore to see where we can go to make the miles up.
I've been given some $$ to fix my chair form the original sponsor who bought it. :yay: I'm hoping that the money will be through next week, then I can go on a shopping spree and my Dh can get me fixed.:woohoo:

We went into the Mk last night, it was a nightmere, space mountain was 120mins at 10pm, Buzz was 45!!!! :scared1: I'm so glad we can use the FP lines.
We went in to see a friend and by the time we got there her son had fallen asleep and we never saw them as we where getting of the monorail as they where getting on.:rotfl:
We are hoping to see them in there today, just trying to get hold of them.

Spring has finally come we are back in the 70's and needing sun block.:woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo:

Good Morning all!

Great pics!

Rain is finally gone and this week we get our first 70's of the year :banana::banana:

It's been a long winter but I have made something out of it since being back from WDW. I have started 8 straight weeks of hard workouts of at least 2 times a week at the gym(2 hrs each visit) and 6 weeks had 3 gym workouts. I now workout 9-10 hours a week(including walking mileage) and the pounds are dropping. I soon will have lost 10% of my body weight since the Goofy. Another 5% and I will be were I haven't been in several years.

I feel great and will look good in my summer clothes :)

Have a great Sunday!

Just got back from the world on Friday. Mark and I were there from Sunday to Friday - best use of DVC points. Most days were good but Thursday and Friday were quite wet.

I was at Epcot on Sunday strolling around and didn't think about the race until I saw some people wearing the medals. On top of that I may have seen Syko at Mexico - not sure if that was you with a little blonde girl? I was leaving Mexico and saw you sitting there and told my DH Mark that a new member of our team is in a special chair like yours. Then walked away. Later I see on my iphone that your actually won the race in your division - all that and I didn't even know you were there! How exciting! I put 2 & 2 together and thought it was probably you. DARN!

We had a nice week. We didn't get up early to walk but we sure did a lot of daily walking. Never took one of the boats but chose to walk to MGM and EPCOT often. One of my favorite things to do is take the monorail from EPCOT to the TTC and then the boat to the MK. We did that at dusk on Weds. It was wonderful.

Thursday we had Tornado warnings north of us but WDW only had rain and then rain again on Friday. All in all it was a good week, and it was easier to leave in the pouring rain rather than the sunshine.

Se we're back and love being in the house, in our bed and back to normal.

Take care.

denise

Hey everyone, hope you had a awesome weekend!!!!

Good morning everyone! That time change yesterday kind of threw me off schedule. Well, I guess I'm noticing it more this morning :) It was a blustery and rainy weekend to say the least - definitely nothing like the mild and sunny weather of last week. Had planned to go for a 15K run on Saturday but changed it to 7K after looking out the window. The wind was really heavy and it was really whipping the rain around. The weather seemed to get worse in the evening. DF and I went to see Shutter Island and coming out of the theatre we felt like we were in Shutter Island weather. And if anyone is curious - I only recommend seeing it when it comes out on video ;) Gym and training tonight and more running tomorrow. My back and piriformis have been really tight lately so I've been trying to take it easier. Not sure if it's too close to my race (Mar 28) for a massage.

Eva - Love the pictures of Gage! What a sweetie! I didn't even notice the hidden Mickey until you pointed it out :)

Sue - ATB training is much better now that the weather has improved. Had thoughts of transfering my bib (wish more races would do that) a couple weeks ago but figured that would have been a waste of February long runs.

Margie - How's DD doing?

Robert - WTG with the workouts! That's a good reminder for the summer clothes. I can't wait to put the sweaters, scarves, gloves away!!

Kirstie - Sounds like the crowds are arriving at WDW for March break. An hour to find a hill! Yikes! We have a few nice ones around here but I don't get out and practice on them as much as I should.

Jennifer - Saw Alice in Wonderland last weekend! Loved it! Especially the costumes - wish I had some of Alice's dresses.

Scott/Lynn - Mary Poppins sounded like fun! Hope you didn't get too much snow!

Have a great day everyone! :wave2:

Good morning team.

Today was speed work, 4X 200m walk sprints. 62 sec 56 sec 60 sec 60 sec with a 3 mile warm up and 2 mile cool down and 400m cool downs between sprints.

Now I'm off to get the taxes done with ex, she didn't show last time so we shall see.

Then it's Nashville for dinner and Alice in Wonderland in 3D.

Dave:hippie:

Happy Monday Everyone!

Time change on Sunday wasn't too bad. Today is another story. I even went to bed early.

Going to the gym tonight. It's the Monday dilemma yoga vs pilates.

Vicky, I would love to see Alice but DD has no interest. Why? because the Cheshire cat is too scary.

Kristie, Good news about some of the chair repair costs.

Eva, So glad you pop in for a visit & are doing well. You have quite the cutie in Gage (love the name).

Margie, How was the gym? Did you get there early?

Sue

Vicky, I totally agree about the costumes. But then again, I've been an Alice fan since I was 2. (The only "princess" costume I would wear as a child were my Alice dresses [yes that's plural])

Margie, Thanks for your support as always!

I've had stomach trouble for the past 24 hours or so. Managed about 4 miles in 34 minutes before it started acting up too much. I'm carb-depleting right now and then loading starting on Thursday.

Good Morning Team! :wave2:

Flood Advisory in my area today - a high of 59° - Sunshine!

:cheer2::cheer2: Congratulations to Our Big Weight Loss Losers!!
We are Proud of you Connie, Dave, Kim, MaryJ, Mike, Robert, & Vicky.:cheer2::cheer2:

Connie, Denise, Eva, Gerry, Hope, Jack, Kim, MaryJ, Mike, Pam, Robert, Scott & Lynn -
Wishing you Sunshine and great training moments! :rainbow:

Dave- hope all went well yesterday! :grouphug:

Jennifer- I Checked out the 2010 Tri Thread!
Lots of responses, questions, & answers
And our Kristy’s DH is working the Danskin WDW. :goodvibes

Kim- Rough week with the Time Change  I feel like it should be Friday!

Sue- How old is your DD? I do not go to the gym as early (the 5:am like I was doing pre WDW),
But before 7:am so I can get it in and back home before the boys arrive on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - :upsidedow

Vicky- http://www.thestretchinghandbook.com/archives/piriformis-syndrome.php I have the stretching posters from them.
:flower3: My back and piriformis have been really tight lately so I've been trying to take it easier. Not sure if it's too close to my race (Mar 28) for a massage.

AFM: No Gym this morning as I leave by 7:20am to go to their house to get the one little guy ready for the school bus. :upsidedow

Enjoy the moments!

Oh Margie, sorry to hear about the flood warnings. There is alot of pooling water here as well. I live near a lake but fortunatley at one of the highest points in town so I am hoping my basement will be OK.
