Hakuna Matata Having a Howling Good October!!!

Hi TEAM! :wave2:

:hippie: :grouphug: Glad the Battle Plan is working and life will be less stressful. btw I am glad you like those hills! The last two races I did were extreme hills for me-I was happy with my time and pace, but I sure would not want to do on a regular basis! Actually I found it to be more of a cardio workout than leg muscles. :sad2:

Lynn pixiedust: Hope your knee is better.

Connie- pixiedust:

Scott-hope you get that Forerunner 310XT for your B-Day! It sounds like it has some really great features. I have the Garmin 305 too, but it sounds like this one would be the one to tempt me to upgrade-if money wasn't an issue.:goodvibes

Happy Thanksgiving Kim, Sue, and Vicky!

Good Evening Team!

I made it to Denver about 7PM, I did get on standby the 4PM flight (which left Atlanta about 5PM), I am spending the night in Denver and will continue my travels tomorrow.

My knee did hold up for the race, it was not unbearable, I did manage an average pace of 16:12, which is much better than I thought I would do. I am still living on Advil, but not as much as I needed the last few days.

Connie - glad to hear you are feeling better.

Dave - glad you resolved some stuff at home.

Have a great evening all!

Lynn~Glad your knee is mending well. Sounds like you and Scott had a ball. Sorry about your travel woes. I hate getting stuck somewhere I don't plan on. Got snowed in, in Chicago once coming from WDW. How we went from Florida to Chicago then to Providence I don't know. From now on direct flights if possible. I once tried to upgrade to first class for the return from Wyoming, Vegas to Atlanta (again trying to get to Providence.) When I asked how much the guy tells me $2,000. :scared1: Yikes! I explained I did not want to fly the plane just have a comfortable seat!
Hope your home by now.

Wish me luck, have to go to the DMV and register three new G-cars, Dealing with the RI DMV is like having a root canal with out the gas.
....:headache:

Good morning team! I missed my 6AM run this morning but will try to get out this afternoon. I'm hoping that the sun will make things a little warmer.

Lynn - Glad to hear your knee held up! Any pictures of the medal? I can related to the airplane woes. I got stuck coming back this time at MCO due to electric problems on the plane. As our plane started to back out, all the electrical systems died. We were delayed by 2 hours and a good portion was spent on the plane without A/C. Ugh!

Jack - That's one expensive upgrade! I've noticed with all the conventions that now take place in Orlando, it's hard to get those business class seat upgrades :( Good luck at the DMV today! Think happy Disney thoughts if you get frustrated!

Dave - Glad you got the at home situation worked out!

Scott - When is your birthday? Hope you get a new Garmin :)

Margie - :wave2:

Have a great day everyone!

Ugh... getting this 20 miler in is like NASA trying to launch the shuttle, I keep having to reschedule due to weather.

10 miles on the treadmill. Easy in 85 minutes.

We're on a week long fall break so I can keep rescheduling (which may actually be part of the problem)

Rain, rain go away

Jennifer

Got in 3.5 this morn, felt good and it cleared the head.

The issues aren't resolved just that we are closer now with making battle plans.

I had a good pool workout this morning. An hour of pool running with 10 dips and 50 flys every 5th lap.

Hope everyone has a restful evening.

Dave:hippie:

Got in a nice 3.5 again this morn, having a great breakfast of oatmeal here at teh Hyatt, stone cut real stuff....

Political storm here with the job that I have got down to a few scatterred showers LOL I am sure Jack would understand, egos sure get in the way, amazing how much can get done when you don't care who gets the credit....

Vicky, my B-day is 10/28, and we will be at WDW yeah!!!!!!

Dave Battle Plans are good, hang in there,

Hope all's training is going well, I really need to drop 20 pounds before January.

Amen! Many lose sight of the mission and victims to obtain public glory. Thanks for fighting for those who can't, :littleangel: I know the frustration level, hang in there. :thumbsup2

Good morning y'all.

Scott you can no more walk away from your mission as I can mine. Some of us are just crazy enough to think we can make a difference.

It's raining again this morning so trying to decide on workout plan for today. Maybe a good workout of stretching and cals.

Today's thought is to keep on believing in the magic of love and friendship.

Dave:hippie:

Good Morning Team!

It is looking nicer and nicer here, it was foggy when I got up, but now I can see some blue sky! It is supposed to be warmer today, maybe melt off the rest of the snow!

Dave - battle plans are good! Good luck for keeping those plans headed forward!

Jack - good luck with the DMV!

Jennifer - good luck with the weather and your 20 miler!

Have a great day all!

20 miler is postponed until the weekend.

Did 6 miles in 55 minutes. Nice and easy in a light rain

Best,
Jennifer

I slept in again so I'll have to get in my run after work again. Although I haven't been a morning runner for very long, I kind of miss not running first thing. The neighbourhood is quiet and I feel like I have more free time in the afternoon.

Scott - I wish everyone at work thought like you. Sometimes work can feel a lot like high school.

Jennifer - Sorry you keep having to postpone your 20 miler! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you have sunshine this weekend!

Kim - Are you registering for the Toronto Women's Half next May?

Have a great day everyone!

Work is a four letter word Vicky. Lets just forget work and go to DisneyWorld.

Hope everyone is doing good tonight. Have a restful evening.

Dave:hippie:

Did a 3 mile run tonight in just over 30 minutes! Will take tomorrow off from running as rest for Saturday. I'll still go to the gym for a 1/2 hour workout.

Dave - Sounds like the plan! I'll pack up the van and you can drive. We'll pick up the rest of the team on the way down!

Take care everyone! :wave2:

Just back in from a quick two miles at a 10:02 pace....

Worked till 7:00 last night.

Hope today is a little shorter as I want to get a report done so I wont have to work this weekend.

Oh Vicky let's do it. I so need a break from reality. I wanna hug princesses and hang with the fellows.

Scott, good luck finishing up so you can have a fun day.

Dave:hippie:
