Hello team!
Thought it was time for me to catch up! Sorry work's been incredibly busy and I'm trying to get in my workouts, running and errands. Hopefully November will be a little less hectic
Dave - Congrats on your race! You must get some incredulous looks when you pass the runners! Good job! Did it end up snowing where you are? I also wear gloves whenever it's cold out - I don't like cold hands either and I always find that they make training walks/runs really unpleasant. Are you doing the 5K in addition to the Goofy in January? Yikes to the 12-hour shift but it sounds like you're making some good money for the trip

Don't work too hard though.
I usually post on FB when I don't have time to post here. While I like that it's quick, it's not always easy to post a longer message or have the same interactions like we do here. I still prefer our boards to FB

but FB is great when I'm short on time!
Tandy - Wow! So you're putting the ultra back on the calendar! Did I ever mention that you are awesome! I can't even begin to imagine the mileage you'll have to pull for an ultra.

But I have to ask if your physio gave you the clearance

That's just the worrier in me...
Tell Harrison good job on the running! Sounds like he's getting speedy and I'm sure he won't even need the intervals in a little bit. How did the party go for him? Is this a different girl than the one he gave a necklace to last year?
Mike - How was your race this weekend? Your costume sounds cool and easy to run in! I've seen some races where people dress up like superheros and they wear the mask and all! It must get hard to breathe running with a mask! The best costume I saw was a guy dressed like Elvis a few years ago. He had the hair, white tights and orange running shoes
How much is Hoop de Doo and what night were you planning on going? I have to say that I'm not very good with all you can eats though
Rick - When I use to do hill training, that sounds exactly like what I would do. I hated them but they are great and when you come across a hill in a race, you won't even break a sweat. Plus, your speed will improve.
Regina - How was the wine tour? Did you find any winners? I've never gotten blisters before - from running anyway (knock on wood). What kind of socks do you run in? I find that when I use cotton socks to run or do faster walking in, they rub the heel of my foot and create hot spots. I'd say to check the size of your shoe and make sure you have enough room. Other than that, it could just be a combination of the shoe and your running gait. I don't know how to change that though ...
Lynn - Hope you and Scott are having a blast at WDW! Is he collecting lots of b-day goodies?
AFM - I've been getting in my running though it's much slower than I would like. I'm running at about 12 m/m and it's kind of hard knowing that it's taking me longer to finish my runs. But then I think at least I am running so that's a good thing
The eating and workouts have been going well. I've been losing about a 1 lb a week (except for my birthday week) so slowly but surely it's coming off. Winter running tights and my winter coats fit! Though the one coat I really like *just* fits so there's still a bit of work to do.

And most of the stuff I make in my baking class goes to my family or people at work. Sometimes it's a bit hard to give that stuff away because I love eating sweets but it's probably better this way
I was a little bit bummed out about not going to Washington this weekend for MCM. But after hearing that they got hit with snow on Saturday, I thought maybe it was for the best

We had cold but sunny weather in Toronto so I'm hoping for a few more weeks before we see any snow.
I thought about making cupcakes this weekend but figured that I really didn't need the extra calories so I'll save those for another day.
Hope everyone else is doing well!
