Hairwraps at DTD?

Are the hours pretty much the same as DTD's store hours? Is there usually a very long wait or do they have several wrappers going at once? Do you have to make any appointments?

The length of your wait pretty much depends on when you go. I've never seen more than one wrapper at a station. They will usually ask you to sign a sheet, and give you an approximate time to return to the station. You can then explore DD and return for a wrap. Hair wraps are available at some Disney resorts as well, and the hours vary by location/season. My DD gets one on every trip. It can get expensive, depending on hair length. Last time DD's was 43.00, plus we always give the wrapper a 20% tip. Definitely worth it though...It looks great and lasts a few months.

We just go back this past Monday from WDW. My daugther got her hairwrap at Downtown Disney and we waited about 25 min. There were two girls in front of us. You write your name on a piece of paper and they call your name when its your turn. They only had one girl working on Sunday when we had it done. They say it takes about 10-15 to do each girl. Hope you have a super vacation.

They don't always have it open during the day at DTD, ymmv so be prepared, especially if your going just for the wrap. Go go early evening and it should not be to bad but it can take at least 15 minutes per person, more if a child has long hair.

It is also offered at all the resort pools but our favorite is on the Boardwalk. Lots to do and see while we wait and they seem to do a terrific job. My 8yo had one done the day after Christmas and it just started to slide out on Monday of this week. I was able to cut it in time to save it and attach to a hair clip so she can still wear it. The cost is 1.50 per inch + beads, the beads vary greatly in price and can significantly add to the cost.

MK offers it at the POC shop and I have seen it at AK but personally I didn't want to waste my park time on a hair wrap. We save this for a non park day too!
