OK - so what is up with the hairdryers.

I know that there are hairdryers in the rooms but I have heard people say they don't have much power. I have also heard people say that they brought their own but the plugs didn't work with them in the bathroom. I have also heard people say to bring an extension cord.

Questions:

1) How do I know if the plug on my hairdryer is the right kind?

2) Is the extension cord for if your plug does not work in the bathroom you can plug in the extension cord in your room and then plug in the blowdryer to the cord and use it in the bathroom? If so, how long does the extension cord need to be?

I'm sure other inquiring minds need to know these answers:)

If my memory serves me correct, I thought the plugs looked like hotel plugs...but I could be wrong. You do need to bring a hair dryer or half your cruise you'll be drying your hair. lol

While I have no personal experience with the hairdryers in the room, most people say that they are kind of weak. The outlets in the bathroom don't have enough power for a regular hairdryer, it's not that they take a different kind of plug than is standard in the US. There are a few outlets in the room, however, which do. One is near the desk, and the other behind the TV, I think. It would have to be a pretty long extension cord to get you to the bathroom. I believe that people use the mirror by the desk with their hairdryers.

We sailed on the Wonder earlier this month. The hairdryers
are very weak. The plugs in the bathrooms say for shavers
only so I just used the plug by the desk. I did take an extension
cord but never used it. J.

I hate the hairdryers on the ship and always bring my own. If your plug doesn't plug into the desk just pull out the TV, there is a plug behind there that works fine with all types of plugs. :)

I just use the mirror on the desk and don't need an extension cord.

Bring your own hairdryer and ext. cord. There dryers s---k!!!
