Haircut at MK

We decided before going to WDW that we would have our DS6 get a haircut at MK with the colored gel and pixie dust. He was so excited to have this done. It took us three attempts but we got it done. On one of the occasions, we waited for a while and when it was his turn this "lady" jumped up in the chair ahead of him. The barber said nothing. We had to leave for a PS. We went back another morning and was there waiting for them to open the door. The barber was late and we told the CM waiting to open the door that this was our third attempt so she made sure we went first. He loved it and like others have said , he got a lot of attention. Even from the talking tree at AK. He was forced to wash it out a couple days later when we were caught in a downpour! Do it if you can - something extra special for your kids.

This was the highlight of our son's trip last year and it's all he's been talking about doing since. We'll be there in Oct. and he's already told us that it has to be one of the first things he does! He did blue last time and wants to try red this time around.

Glad your DS enjoyed it too! It's a shame that you had to try to do it so many times but it sure is worth it

Our trip last May happened to be about when my 9 month old DN needed his first haircut. My SIL knew of the barber shop on Main Street and made a point to have his first hair cut there! He got a mouse ears hat with "first hair cut" embrodered on the back, a lock of his hair in an envelope with "pixie dust", and a certificate with his name on it for "bravery in facing clipers and shears".

It sounded soooo cute! I wish I had been there to see it (Brother and I went to IOA that day).
