hairbraiding and suntan lotion

I know i read that if you get your hair braided, remember to put suntan lotion on your scalp. Did I also read that it should be alcohol free? We are having a hard time finding the spray on, nonrubbing that is alcohol free. We bought some Coppertone Sport Sunblock Lotion Spray. It doesn't look like it has alcohol in it. The continuous spray ones DO have alcohol.

I use Coppertone Lotion Spray 30 for my DD. Mine is not the sport formula. It is in a white bottle with a purple lid. It says it is a Light Mist Formula and it is waterproof and mositurizing with Vitamin E. When looking at the label I could not see that it has alcohol in the ingredients. If you want me to I can take a picture of the bottle and send it to you. But it sounds like you have a good spray.

Wow, I didn't know about getting no alcohol. I bought Banana Boat Sport spray sunscreen. Is this okay to use on the scalp?

Alcohol based sunscreens dry out your skin really bad. I would think it might even burn your scalp. I know it can damage your hair.
