My school is waaaaaaay too hair oriented. And it's not like anyone has any sense of style. There are two trends: Stick staight and glued to your head, with layers way too thick at the top, and scrunched so that it's sort of wavy, but it is still flat, and it looks wet. Ick.
Put your own spin on things. Sonya, you've got creativity. Use it! Find a wig that you like, wear it, but to be honest, I don't think that matters. Just have fun with your style. Accesorize. Wear hats. Hats are fun. You could wear Disney hats.
But, just do your own thing. I'm sure that with everything you've been through, you know better than the rest of us that life is too short to spend your time trying to fit in. Follow your own beat.
I am so sorry Sonya that you have to go through all you have to go through. I can't even imagine it. It is hard enough just being a teenager. But personally I could really careless about my hair. I mean I wash it and stuff, but I mostly let it air dry and there it is.
you're seriously pushing your luck on this thread. maybe you should just stop posting. Its one thing to say something as mean as your original post to a 14 year old CANCER patient, but stop beating a dead dog. We know you're an insinsitive blankity blank blank. just get off the thread before you get yourself in trouble.
the person who originally wrote the mean comment edited it to make it nice!
so really, she's not being touchy, sparx just didn't edit her post.
not being rude or anything.
thats the way my school is and i hate it that way i have long thick frzzy hair so i always either have to put it up and i dont like it like that at all
Im sorry to hear that you dont have hair. My older cousin didn't have hair because of alopecia (when you lose your hair), its a desease. Her hair grew back in a year, which is very rare. So consider yourself lucky.
I'm pretty lucky.
My school doesn't OBSESS.
A handful of popular chicks may,
But that's about it.
It doesn't matter how many threads you make, as long as you're venting and getting everything out it's OK. And we're here for you 100 percent. I can't imagine what it'd be like to have cancer.
So that's why 2 years ago in March I donated about 12 inches to Locks of Love.
My school doesn't obsess over hair. We're not like that.
Noone is trying to impress anyone, maybe we try to make our clothes look nice but hair isn't really an issue.
Sonya I'm sorry you're going through a struggle with not having hair Just remember in a matter of time you'll be healthy and your hair will come back. Even if you feel uncomfortable, consider getting a wig. It might make you feel better, yet I wouldn't know because I'm not in your position, but try what you need.
If I had longer hair I would definantly donate to Locks of Love, but I only have a little over shoulder length hair so that's not an option for me. But it's something I would do if I could.
