Exactly what does the hairwrapping entail? Where do they offer this? How much? My 9yo DD and her cousin might like to do this for a treat.

My DD did this last year. They use different colors of yarn/thread and wrap it around and around a small lock of hair. The price is charged per inch, my daughter's hair is short and I think it cost about $10. You can also add a charm onto it, which is an extra charge (I think she did this). We had it done at WL, by the pool. I know that it is done at several of the resorts, but not sure if at all of them.

My dd still has the hair wrap from the Boardwalk done 12/26 and loves it. Its brighltly colored string wrapped around the hair with some beads on the bottom. Its $1.50 an inch with extra for beads, my dd has medium length hair and it was $25.00 and IIRC dh added a tip.

Most of the resorts offer this at the pool area, we had it done at the Boardwalk and I saw it offered at MK by the POC ride. I think its offered at AK as well but I can't remembrer where I saw it.

Personally since it takes about 20-30 minutes plus the wait if any I would do it outside the park if you can.

They do the wraps by the pools and by the main halls (All Stars), classic halls (POP), and at DTD and Boardwalk....haven't seen it in the parks, but things change! Have fun, they're cool! :cool1:

DD8 had hers done on 12/1 at Wilderness Lodge by the pool and it's still in. It cost $26, plus tip. She picked an extra bead so it would have been cheaper. My only complaint: they measured it at the end including the beads which extend past her hair, but she loves it. Also, a tip: with long hair, start behind the ear instead of on top of the head, you'll still see it and it costs a lot less and it looks cuter with ponytails in anyway.

Some friends had it done at AK, but I don't know where. :flower1: :flower1:

And if your dd ends up losing the hair in that patch, it will be less noticeable.

i believe all resorts do it... they had it at cbr when we stayed there and it was normally offered at pop century, but because of the hurricane the hair wrap stand was closed... typically they can be found near the pool...
