Forgive me if this has been covered, I searched and couldn't find anything.

My DD wants to have a hair wrap done. She had it done before at DTD. We are staying off-property this trip, so I was hoping she could have it done at one of the parks (I'm not sure when we are going to DTD, but it will most likely be later in the week). Does anyone have any experience with this? We will be at MGM and MK our first day.

Thanks for you help!!

I'm sure they have it tucked away in both of those parks ask at guest services when you arrive.

In AK they have it close to where you get a Pic with Lelo&Stitch heading to Camp M&M. I know this because DD was looking at the different charms to see if they had anything different then the BC/YC stand had.

This is another Option for you . You could catch the Boat over to the BC/YC from MGM and get it dont there. It's on the main walkway right at SAB

I know of hairwrapping stations at POR, AK, TL, BB, BWI/BWV, and DTD. If you are at MGM you can take a boat to the Boardwalk area. They open at 4pm and stay open till 11:00.

You can get your daughter's hair wrapped at the Magic Kingdom.
there is a person just past the Pirates of the Carribean ride!

How long do the hair wraps last? Do they stand up to swimming and bathing? Also, how much does it cost and how long does it take?

I know my daughter would love this, but if the expense (in time or money) is too great, I will make sure I do not walk by that booth!

:thumbsup2

we got our wraps done outside of PIZZA PLANET in MGM, across from the muppets 3D!!

they charge per inch, really..ours lasted a while- as long as you dont run a brush frantically through your hair, or pull on it a lot. they DO last through bathing and swimming, just be gentle when washing hair, because tugging it can loosen that initial knot they make.ours lasted a little while after our WDW trip was over, but we ended up CUTTING them out of our hair bc it was wrapped so tightly that untwisting it was too hard. :(

We have had them last for a couple months. We just scrub them right along with the hair!. White does tend to get dingy, and we have had some of the brighter colors fade, but if the strands are not separating and showing hair through, I have let them keep it in. We like having hair from underneath wrapped, as it can just be clipped when we are ready to get rid of it, rather than unwrapping it. And, if need be for a special occasion (recital, concert) I have been able to hide the wrap for the evening in a ponytail or other updo--don't think I could have done that with one wrapped from the top!

We have twice had our girls done at AK. The booth was outside one of the shops near the walkway to Camp Minnie/Mickey.

We had dd done next to Pizza Planet at MGM. It cost $32 and it's about 10 inches. She suckered her Daddy into some of the more costly beads.

She had it done on June 12th and it still looks good. She had hers done from the top. She had to dress up this weekend so I put her hair up and just pulled some strands over to cover it.

Our DD's love the hair wraps, and have had them done several times at the parks. But I found a book by "Klutz" that has step by step instructions and also some thread and beads. We have had lots of fun doing our own when we're not at Disney!! Plus, they think it's very cool that "Mom" can do it just as well!

We got our girls' done in May...

There is a station right at the exit of Pirates of the Caribbean...outside the gift shop! She did a great job, the hair wraps are still in perfect condition and it's been over a month and a half!

Pics of the wraps? or the hair wrap station?

here's the wraps one month later! For the two girls with 2 plain beads each, it cost us $45.
