Hair, make-up, and dress steaming

Any recommendations? Do they come to the hotel or does the bride have to go out and about?

There are tons of cosmetologists who will come to your room for hair and makeup and a few who make you come to them. There are numerous threads on this board that you might find helpful, though they tend to recommend the same 2 or 3 companies. You just need to look at their portfolios and see if they do the style you want. I chose Patricia LeJeune because I wanted a more natural look, and I was so happy that I've hired her a few more times since the wedding.

As for steaming, DFTW lists two businesses that will come out to hotel to steam your gown, but when I called last year, only Carolyn Allen's would actually do it. They also have an amazing service where you can ship them your gown and they'll bring it to your room for you, then pick it up and ship it back to your home after the event so you don't have to schlep it. If you don't have them clean the gown, it's only $15 + shipping both ways.

I would like to shout out for two companies!!
Firstly, for hair and make-up I used Patricia LeJeune. She was amazing and talented and made me look beautiful (which is a very hard job)!! My hair and make-up looked as good at the end of the day as it did at the beginning. Guests who used her were thrilled too!! She came to our hotel room.

For steaming I used Lori from Loftis Productions. I highly recommend Lori. She came to the room and steamed my dress and it looked fantastic. My daughters MOH dress didn't need doing, but she would have done it for free!! She even steamed the little veil on my bridal ears headband!! Friendly, efficient and great value for money!!1

I had Laine from Beaute Speciale for both my hair and make-up and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She was so lovely to work with and even offered to help me into my dress.

I had Jackie from Beaute Speciale do my hair and makeup for my engagement shoot, wedding, and MK Bridal shoot. I LOVED her! She even helped me into my dress for my wedding (and is in some pics!) and the morning of my MK bridal shoot.

And I used Carolyn Allen for my dress steaming. They are so sweet!

They both come to your hotel room.

Thanks for the suggestion to use Lori from Loftis. I called Lori yesterday. The call with her was fantastic and I really feel like she is going to take care of us. She was super sweet in arranging things for my fiance, flower-girl and ring bearer. I was honestly stressed about this and now I'm not at all stressed!

Lori is an angel to work with!! She came to my room to steam my dress and we had such fun chatting that I was so sorry when she had to leave!! She did an incredible job on my dress and even steamed the little veil on my Bridal Ears headband for me!!! Highly recommended!!
It is a shame that she sometimes gets overlooked as brides seem to use the other, better known company for their steaming needs, but she did a first-class job for me and was cheaper too (which is always a bonus )

Not sure if anyone else knows this but most Mac makeup artists are available for weddings. So if your local to Orlando you could plan to have your favorite mac makeup artist come and do your makeup.

If your going to do it yourself I recommend Temptu spray makeup system. I just got one and tested it recently for a wedding I went to. I used the foundation, blush and highlighter and can only say it lasted through tears, rain and many hours of dancing. I came home with my makeup flawless. I know this is officially my makeup for anything formal or evening. Its not harsh for daytime I just don't normally wear makeup in the daytime. I like a very natural look to foundation and It was flawless and looked like I had nothing on.
